  1. Hopefully nothing  if it means the sail away sees them disappear finally .... Seriously though there's still a few choices in the make up cabin bit of 'My NCL' re deco ; but as LrgPizza says .. You would do much better having a word with the steward and doing it yourself

Go to a store and buy a special blanket and whatever else you want for a special gift. Pack these items, and give them to your kid on the ship. Ask the room steward to use that blanket when making up the bed. Problem solved.

Thanks so much...that's a great idea!

  2. Last cruise (Norwegian Getaway) I was able to purchase my son this great package that included a SpongeBob blanket, a pillowcase, a bag, a nightlight - all kinds of treats that really made his time special. The room steward made up his bed each day with these items and it really added to his overall cruise.

Now that there are no more connections between NCL and Nickelodeon - I don't see anything at all I can purchase as a special "gift".

Any mention anywhere of something like this?

Even on Carnival I was able to purchase a special "kids" gift through the Kids Club that included a bag, hat, t-shirt, etc.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

  3. We are going on a cruise Dec 6th out of Miami and are taking the Megabus from Tampa to Miami, arriving at 7:20 p.m. the night before to stay in at the Courtyard Marriott on 200 SE 2nd Avenue.

My question is how easy will it be to get a taxi from the bus stop (which Megabus states is a parking lot at 601 NE 1st Street) to our hotel (1/2 mile away). It is me, my husband and 9 year old son. Not sure if it is safe to walk the distance with our luggage.

    Any feedback would be helpful.

  4. What do you usually wear on the first day? We are traveling in and staying at a hotel the night before. I know there are plenty of photo ops as you get on, but you are also (without FTTF) walking around for hours until your room is ready.

Capris and a top? Pants? Skirt?

    What do you typically wear?

  5. I would love to schedule a parent's night out at the steakhouse, but want to plan it when I know there is something great planned for my son (eight years old) at the Kids Club.

I have looked all over the boards and cannot seem to find the Kids Club Schedule for the Breeze 8 Day Cruise. Does anyone have them so I can submit a reservation request and enjoy a night out without worry?

    Thanks so much....

  6. We are traveling in two weeks to Miami to get on the Breeze for 8 days. The last two times we cruised I HAULED water and soda on board. The soda is a given, we prefer Coke Zero and they usually don't have that.

My question to all is, do you drink the water on board or bring your own? I only drink filtered water at home. I have read that the water on the ship is filtered....can you tell?

Any help would be appreciated. I would rather not carry on water if I don't have to.

  7. I am going on my first cruise in December. Booked online with NCL directly and had not read these boards.

I am in 8087, an inside cabin, and there is a large open space beside my cabin. I can't tell what it is or if this is a good choice.

I am a single mom traveling with my six year old son.

Any advice would be great here. Also, if this is not a good room, can I call and change it???
