  1. Dining room shouldn't be a problem. I thought I booked under one on the Elation a couple of years ago, but , miss judged and was under the galley. Needless to say, they work in there at all hours of the day. If I had to guess, we were under a walk in cooler as I heard the door slam over and over.

    Cheers!

    Scott

  2. We did NOT bother with insurance this time because I knew her cruise fair was only $180 (for the fourth person in a room....this is the only time we have not done 2 rooms so it was not THAT big of a deal)

I was fine with just having that extra space/bed.

I just don't want them calling my name over the PA looking for her! lol

We had the same a couple years back, my DD's B/F decided to, well that's another story, anyway, we had four people booked in two cabins, I just printed my DD's boarding pass and sent her thru check-in, no questions asked about the other room guest and nobody called us over the PA. =-)

So sounds like you can do the same, cut your losses and enjoy the cruise. And sorry your other DD had to work.

    Cheers!!

  3. Just trying to help out here....I've bought a few Verizon e gift cards with no issues and wouldn't it figure I go to buy the big 450$ one and it says it didn't work because the application has errors...no points were deducted so I gave it a few minutes and tried again.. Same thing.... Application issues...something said check my bank account. Sure enough it took out 450 both times.....and no egift cards showed up via email or account transaction history. Hopefully this saves someone else the grief I've encountered today...Verizon has acknowledged issues and is working to get me a reversal on one charge and a GC for the other charge. So maybe call to confirm they've fixed issues

I just purchased $750 worth today. Worked without a hitch. Sorry to hear you are having problems. Was Verizon able to take care of the issue for you?

  4. That is so frustrating... I just asked my CVP about that 2 weeks ago and he told me the wrong information. Thanks.

The frustration is stepping on board with a price in mind to pay and learn that they just went back to the $49 a day price. We, along with a lot of other, were not very happy. Needless to say, we still bought it. LOL

  5. In the last, I've only cruised out of Texs which meant that we couldn't purchase the Cheers program until the first Sea Day. This time we will be sailing out of New Orleans on a 7 day cruise. So to confirm that my math is right:

    7 days * 2 cruisers over 21 in the cabin * $49.95/day = $699.30 + 15% tip (104.90) = $804.20! Is that correct?

Yes sir, that is what we paid on the Dream back on our October cruise. The price went back up the DAY we boarded. There were a LOT of unhappy people that day. Guest services was a long wait.

  6. Yes they did! Just off the liberty, they changed the price 10/25/14. Lots of people upset and didn't purchase. They put the price back to 37.95 for that sailing. We paid 603. On the second day. But they said future sailing will be at 49.95

Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

Just off the Dream yesterday, we had LOTS of angry people also, they didn't seem to care, so it cost us $804.
