  1. Yes, well written, indeed--book marks, actually, rather than key chains, ordinarily. That said, yes, we are enjoying your company onboard Sojourn at this time. However, we are not enjoying the screaming out of control behavior of a certin 2 plus year old onboard. This is not the child's fault but, rather, his, obviously, uncaring and anaware parents who continue to run around after him flailing their arms in the air. Generally speaking, the children, (anyone under 18 years of age), on Seabourn are much better behaved than I am. Also, they are, on this trip, generally, more fashionably dressed than 50% of the other guests! Perhaps, the "restriction" if there were one, should be no children under age 6? This would. also, alleviate the issue of young children under the age of six not being accepted at the game reserves as they are not in most of Africa. Just a common sense thought--there is way too little common sense onboard and elsewhere in this world at present. You are a stylish and mature young lady and are most welcome onboard as far as we and most of our friends are concerned.

  2. Ravenscroft, diamonds may well be a girl's best friend, however, those funds would be better spent on additional Seabourn days! News is that Hotman Vitor Alves is returning soon. Marcel has been wonderful as well. We are wondering what is happening with Karl. We cannot have him getting too attached to land as Bozi did! Once again, wish you all were here on this fantastic voyage! Champagne wishes to all!

  3. Just have to share with all of you the unbelievable evening of entertainment we had last night. The Grand Salon featured the Seabourn singers and dancers with a fabulous show of songs and choreography from the 60's (our era). We all felt that we were seeing some massive stars of the future--among them Chris, who puts Lionel Richie and Aaron Neville (excuse my spelling--I am on vacation after all) to shame. This was standing ovation material. However, it got even better ~the Seabourn Way~ when we continued our evening in the Observation Lounge where Jamie Fletcher was holding court. Magical enough in her own right but Elliot Finkel was in the room and they joined forces on several over the top impromptu songs. Only 8 of us were privileged to be in their presence. A night never to be forgotten! Additionally, both of these stars are exceptionally personable and accessible to all Seabourners. WOW!

  4. Thank you for the information. All I can say is that there are at least 6 couples on this Barcelona-Capetown-Capetown portion of the "nonworld world cruise" who have been on, virtually, every "high end" cruise line and are, totally, adoring every second of their first Seabourn cruise. I check in with them daily and have not yet received any negative input. Regardless of my opinion of which everyone is aware, I believe that the Seabourn "first timers" are excellent judges. Wishing all of you could be here with us. Champagne wishes!

  5. Have been onboard since Barcelona and everything is SEABOURN! As others have shared, there are excellent changes to the menus. Chef Neal is on it. Loving every single thing and wishing all of you could be here with us. Casablanca tomorrow. The band and Danny. the guitarist, as well as Jamie Fletcher in the Observation are all wonderful as always. Cannot say enough about the "tweaking" that has been done to every little thing onboard--example is that they have fixed the coffee tasting water for tea problem that has often plagued Seabourn--thank you! Handre and Sophie are just tops, as ever. Marcel has been working his magic, too. Seabourn Square team is beyond miraculous! As my husband says,"Tell them that we are all having an absolute BALL!" Champagne wishes!

  6. We have been onboard the Sojourn World Cruise since LA--January 4. In answer to your question--SOME GUESTS ARE DELUSIONAL ABOUT THE FOOD. Absolutely no one on this cruise has lost weight. We are loving it all. Always the same comments about too much salt and overcooked fish but they have improved that. As mentioned by others, remember that you can order anything you wish with prior notice. Nothing can compare to Seabourn, so come on and enjoy!

  7. Have done gty's 3 times. This time boarding in LA we received our "upgrade"--2 categories--two days before we boarded. Ditto comments re: seamless boarding in LA--All appeared as if we had originally booked this suite from the start--Seabourn WOW again. Do not fear.

That said there has been so much enormous discounting of the rest of the world cruise since LA that "things" may have changed. Whatever your situation, enjoy every Seabourn second. It is, truly, all good!

  8. We received 2 Seabourn totes early on in the cruise. (Sojourn World Cruise) Two nights ago we got 2 of the fold up lightweight nylon World Cruise totes--very handy. Truly believe the lack of totes on previous cruises was an oversight. Not okay but sometines one must ask.

  9. Couldn't agree more, Martita. Sea days boring--Never, ever--cannot get enough of them! Are you listening, Seabourn? Have had three almost contiguous 5 and 6 day stretches of sea days in the past three weeks and they flew by. BTW, the entertainment has been over the top.

BTW, Cruiser Dan, just came in from the "Caviar in the Surf" (AKA pool) where I wore the sunglasses--you know. What a riot--everyone had their pictures taken in them. David E. was sad that he did not have his with him. Everyone thought of you, Phil, and Martita, of course. Thanks! Love from all of us on Sojourn!

  10. Great photos of the Equator Crossing!

Actually we are crossing it about now--11:00AM today. There was rain and it cleared to gorgeous sunny Seabourn skies for the ceremony yesterday.

Aside--re: Ms. A. Have just talked to her two minutes ago. She is looking almost herself and better each day. Her spirits are excellent. Amazing! Now all she has to do is gain back a few pounds and she will be back to her fabulous self.

  11. David E. Green is on the job and looking as marvelous as always! Jan and Dan may spend a day or two in Hawaii before returning home. She looked as gorgeous as ever when she left and should be back onboard early March. Meanwhile, enjoying David E., one of our favorite Seabourn people. BTW, Ms. A. is back onboard and rebooking her hair appointments, so all is well! Hooray! When she left the ship she could not speak, so this is truly a miracle. Wish you all could be here on this fabulous journey. Everything is Seabourn!:)

  12. The good news is that, according to the "news", David will do his Nat King Cole show. Hooray! Glad Miss A. is onboard and looking exactly the same as always. Why am I the only guest who has aged? Horrors! Miss you Martita. Wish you were all here with us on this fabulous cruise! Champagne wishes and Best Love!:)

  13. Love, love, love John and word is that he wants to be nearer his young family. He is going with QVC Britain according to the onboard "news links". Best of luck to him. BTW, Jan Stearman fell and "crunched" her shoulder the first day of the World Cruise. We met with Dan, her husband, and the accident had not yet happened. As a result, Jan has not been seen on the cruise. We all wish her the best and hold good thoughts for her speedy recovery. Meanwhile, we are in the very capable hands of Sophie and Heather. Everything onboard (as reported elsewhere here) is Seabourn (in other words perfect) so far. Wish you were here (433 onboard this segment).

  14. So glad to see that Seabourn guests are concerned about dress. There are really only 3 "mainstream" lines that still pursue the formal optional suggestion. If one objects to dressing up a bit, why not just stick with the myriad of casual cruiselines. IMHO, it only makes sense. Happy cruising to all!

  15. The Grand Voyages are the best and never, ever, long enough! We are not aware of any "laundry packages" and, surely, would have encountered them in the past had they existed. That said, Holland America and their "offerings" will be a very distant memory once you experience a Seabourn Grand Voyage. (BTW, every Seabourn voyage is beyond Grand!) Of course, you will be much too busy being pampered to even give laundry a thought!

Champagne wishes and caviar dreams! Seabourn awaits!

  16. Not to worry--the laundry is completely available in or out of port on the triplets. Furthermore, of course, there is fabulous full service dry cleaning available at very reasonable prices. (They have, literally, worked miracles for us in the past!) The laundry (send out) charges are, also, extremely reasonable. (They have, also, worked miracles for us on occasion.) Next day service is available at a slight surcharge. As with everything else on Seabourn, champagne wishes and caviar dreams do come true!

  17. The best improvement we noticed in the (clostrophobic and way overused)

triplet laundry rooms was the addition of piped in music--always a plus on

our comment cards! You must be located very near the laundry room and

use it at bizarre hours or you will be "disappointed". (Not to mention the guests who think the laundry rooms are their own personal laundries.) It is part of the elan of Seabourn--the Seabourn Way--the ONLY WAY! Snobby--NEVER EVER! Cruise on!
