  1. They still have it. Not sure what they served, never made it during the times it was Compass Deli.

    Day 1- open Noon-6 PM

    Day 2 (Coco Cay)- 3PM-6PM

    Day 3(Nassau)- Noon-6PM

    Day4(sea day)- Noon- 6PM

Edited to add:At night it becomes a pay Mexican restaurant called Cocina Mexicana from 7PM-10PM

  2. THANK YOU so much for this great information!!! This is what I have been searching for..lol NOW which do I do?? Do the beds offer as much shade as the bungalow? Do the bungalows have table and chairs? That would be a plus when it comes to eating and drinking. I love the fact that they bring the food to you, how cool :D

The bungalows provide better shade. The beds can have the curtains pulled to block, but if it's slightly windy, they are annoying.

  3. I just want to clarify as I had plans to go to barefoot beach on my upcoming visit to CocoCay. Please verify that only people that rent the Bungalows and Beds can go to barefoot beach now. Thank you for any information received.

From what I witnessed, people were fine to walk through where the beds and bungalows are, but if they try to set up near them, they will get run off. I believe there were the regular free loungers for anyone closer to where the swim up bar is located, not for sure, because I didn't go that way.

  4. So do you know if there are other bungalows in front of you? I would hate to pay all that money only to have someone right in front of us blocking our view. Also, are they close to water? I did see the other thread but it is kind of hard to tell. Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer.

There are 2 rows of Bungalos and 2 rows of beds. They are spaced so you can still see. You choose which bed or bungalow you want when you arrive. The earlier you arrive, obviously your best chance for a front row bed or bungalow. We didn't get their first thing and got front row, but we were sailing Majesty, so maybe not as many people renting them.

  5. The beach is directly in front of the beach beds and beach bungalows. When you get off the ship, you checkin at the excursion desk and they will show you where you get picked up. They take you on a golf cart to South Beach (which I believe was previously Barefoot Beach). There is a bar right there between the Bungalos and Beds, and the bathroom is behind the Bungalos. They come around and give a menu so you can order food they bring to you, or you could request a ride back if you want the food with everyone else. We loved it. We had my in-laws with us that needed the shade, plus my 4 year old really needed the shade. We also loved that it was only the people in the beds and Bungalos. We hate crowds That we normally find at a beach, this was nice and secluded.

  6. Hi. I'll be your clamshell neighbor on Sept. 20 -- and I'd really appreciate if you'd post what you learn about the amenities. I also paid $59 and expect the mats, water, etc. Thanks. Carol

I called and I don't know how reliable that is, but she said it looked like they no longer included it. I also saw a post earlier about the beach beds and the person said they got upgraded to that because the clamshells were being moved to another location. Since I had 2 reserved, I went ahead and cancelled and then booked the beach bed at $150. It was only $32 more, and I saved more than that by changing our drink packages.

Edited to add:http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2398748 here is the post about the beach beds.

  7. I just asked about these on the ports of call page. I was thinking of booking one for our December cruise. It says the price is $45.00 and was trying to figure out if that included anything. Also, is it one fee of $45.00 for both of us? When I try to book it, it charges me $90.00. ($45.00 for each of us).

It says to just reserve 1 for every 2 guests. We actually reserved 2 because we have 3 people, but that was at the $59 amount (118 total). If it now does not include the beach mats, I may change it to the beach beds which are $150 for up to 6.

  8. I'm waiting back for a reply from Royal about the clamshell loungers. When I booked for our Cruise, we will be at Coco Cay on September 20, it was $59 and said it included 2 beach mats, 2 bottles of water, towels, and transportation. It also said a personal attendant. Now for our cruise, the price has been lowered to $45 and does not say anything about the mats or water. I don't want to have paid $59 and not get what I thought I was. I also don't want to be overcharged. If it doesn't include the mats, we will probably cancel and just get mats and stake out a different beach spot.
