Just wondering if anyone has used NCL Air to fly to Barcelona? If you had wondering what airlines NCL is using. We are flying to Barcelona from Phoenix if that helps to answer my question. And yes I know all the possible issues with NCL and just looking to find out what airlines some of you have been on using NCL Air. TIA

I am looking for advise for our cruise in November. I do not know at this time what time we will arrive in Barcelona on 11/24. Our Cruise starts on 11/26. My husband has back issues so he can't walk to much or be on his feet for long periods of time. If he can sit now and then that helps. I definitely want to do La Sagrada Familia which I want to do on the 25th. Is there any tours that take you by some of the Gaudi buildings? If I book a tour including Guell Park would that be took much walking and standing for my husband? Our hotel is by Catalunya Plaza so not sure what is near by. I am hoping on the 24th to try and stroll some of La Rambles. Another question is how far is the cruise port from Catalunya Plaza and are taxis easy to get or should I book private transportation. I appreciate any suggestions and information as I want to get a good taste of Barcelona. TIA

We are just looking for suggestions from others regarding Euros. We are cruising Italy and Greece this month. Trying to figure out how much we should bring in Euros with us. We are sailing 10 days and will be in Rome 2 days before. I know we can use a credit card but we will need Euros for shuttles and other small things. Also how should we break down the Euros. TIA

first off Amy - Happy New Year to you and your family!
One thing we learned years ago on any trip when flying is to pack both suitcases with half of my clothes and half of my husbands. This way if one bag gets lost we both have some clothing and under garments. Better safe than sorry! I am also wondering about AirTags for our bags. Have thought of buying some for our trip next month which is international. We are Android phone users too. Any suggestions and info? TIA

I have used BOGO air several times. Mostly domestic and this year I am booked internationally. On all my domestic flights I was able to log into the airline site and find my reservation. Then I would pick my seats for the flights.

There have been several threads where passengers complained about having to arrive the day before and pay for hotels and take more vaccation time.
We always travel a day before a cruise even when we purchase our own airfare. You never know when you could have any delay out of your control We prefer the ease of mind even if we have to purchase a hotel for one night extra.

DOES anyone know what is the layover time they have to abide by. My friends are going on New England cruise from Canada in a few weeks and they have a connection with 11hours in between. I told them that didn't sound right and to call which she did and the call taker was so rude. I told her to call back and talk to supervisor. The connection is in the middle of the night where they couldn't even leave the airport
Well on my international flight home the airline changed my flight from leaving Atlanta at 19:56 PM to *:10 am the next day. I called a the person I spoke to said it was the airline that did that not NCL. But then she call me back and said the rule they have is no layover more than 5 hours. They changed my flight to a different one that works much better than the original that changed. I have also seen on the boards people saying that NCL is dealing with a lot of flight issues. Your friends need to be calm and retry calling them. My return domestic flight last December with NCL had a 4 hour layover in Atlanta

I had a situation that had to be handled and I have heard they have had some glitches on flights so I am sure that is adding to the wait time

And certainly not a pleasant experience! It is one I'm prepared for as we booked NCL Air.
I'm glad you aren't sitting so long in Atlanta now!
Also have only one stop not two

I've seen this maximum layover of five hour thing bandied about a few times the last couple of days. It's not true. NCL strives to "minimize layovers that exceed five hours..." It is still possible to receive a layover of more than five hours though. Here is a snippet from their website:
Source: https://www.ncl.com/air-service-standards
Personally, if NCL provides me with a layover in an European city, I'm hoping the layover will be ten hours or more, so I can explore the city a wee bit. I know that's not what everyone wants, but that's what I'd prefer. 🙂
what happened is the airline changed our flight from flying Atlanta to Phoenix at 11pm arrive Phoenix midnight to Atlanta next day at 810 am arriving 9:24 am - our layover would have been from 9:30 pm to next morning. That would have been almost 11 hours sitting in the airport.

Update on my return flight - you can't have a layover more than 5 hours so my return changed. We now fly Rome to Atlanta and Atlanta to Phoenix

To clarify, the reason my spouse has a Jade card with drink card attached is because he is a guest of the casino in a CAS comped room.
There are different levels of CAS booked cruises. In the past, I know they gave the CAS drink card if you were booked using a certificate from a land based casino. As far as I know, they still do.
Then there are some who call CAS and get a discount on their cruise. (See post #2 above). It appears they still get the drink card.
As for those that do not book their cruise through CAS, I would think they would have to have Tier status onboard the ship. (See post #4 above)
Yes we booked with CAS and received discount on the cruise. So fingers crossed and maybe we can get the drink card

Hmmm....surprised they gave you players card without a drink card attached🤔
Our last few cruises they encouraged non-CAS cruisers to just use their room keycard to play. The only ones who had players cards were those of us who had drink cards attached. For reference, my spouse had a Jade card with the standard drink card. I had my Ruby Tier card with Ultra drink card attached.
We are both Jade. We have drink package but would love to have the drink card for water and other stuff that you don't get with the drink package. I don't gamble too much as every time I spend too much time in casino I get sick from the smoke and end up with upper respiratory infections when I come home. I like the casino on Bliss that had smokers in a glass enclosed section. Well hopefully we can get the drink cards in October. I just thought we did not qualify since we were Jade. Thanks for the info

The reason I asked if everyone gets the drink card is because our last cruise we booked with CAS and our casino cards were in our cabin but no drink card. We are booked with CAS for our cruise in October. So I guess that cruise I will go and ask about drink card at the casino when I board,

Anyone had experience to layover for more than 6 hours to connect a flight through NCL BOGO?
After NCL provided the flight information, could you cancel any flight ticket with NCL (just purchase the cruise)?
Thanks!
I was told by NCL layover should be no longer than 5 hours

when booking with CAS do you have to be a certain level to get the drink card?

While initially this looks horrible, lately I've been using the long Atlanta layover more often when booking my air travel. Normally, you have a later start out of Europe so I don't have to be at the airport by o'dark thirty. Then after already having a layover in Amsterdam by the time I get to Atlanta I'm spent. I reserve a hotel with a shuttle, get a good nights sleep, and then start again the next morning.
When I get home to the next day I don't have my normal jet lag.
By the time we get to Atlanta , took a shuttle to a booked hotel, we would not get a good night sleep as we would have to get to airport early for the morning flight and I personally would get no sleep nor my husband being afraid of oversleeping, Also my husband has medical issues too.

Did call NCL this morning and they are looking into it. They told me they cannot have more than 5 hours between flights. Fingers crossed that they work it out with a good solution

Brer111, i see you from phoenix. What were your airlines and flight times?
Leaving we are on United flight at 8:20 am with connection in Washington DC IAD arriving 8:15 AM
Return is KLM/Delta and 2 stops - Rome - Amsterdam - Atlanta - Phoenix
Leave Rome at 12:45 and was looking good until I was doing seats and my last flight on Delta changed from leaving for Phoenix at 10:56 pm to 8:10 am next morning. I may call and check with them on that change to make sure it is correct. It seems crazy to have someone sit in the airport all night

Yesterday I received my flights for my cruise in October.

The one time we decided to do a club suite when it was called mini suite. The only difference from the balcony was the bathroom size. So for us we just do a balcony midship.
