  1. For anyone just off the Crown, how were the on board temperatures? We were on it in Oct/Nov and I froze. CD told me they were air conditioning Deck 7 to an room temp of about 70 F to control spread of germs. I was layering hoodies, wrapping up in blankets and had to but a pair of Sketchers on board to keep my feet warm. We will be back on her in 6 weeks, BA to FLL, and am wondering if I should pack a fur coat. BTW both DH and I caught the cold that was running rampant thru the ship - so their plan didn't work.

  2. I have read through this thread with some interest as we are booked on QM2 in May 2015. Since it is a Transatlantic voyage I do not expect the experience will be the same. While we do not regularly sail on Cunard, we have in the past and being a Nova Scotian by birth (and I continue to be one in my heart) I feel a tie to Cunard.

I do not want to comment on the above writings, as of course I cannot not since I was not there to experience what others have.

I do have a question to those who were - have you communicated with Cunard or Carnival about your concerns? It is good to post on CC so that others can be made aware and still others can realize they were not alone in their perceptions. But that may not be enough.

I am not here to judge anyone but as a Carnival Shareholder I think the company should be made aware of the issues. The company has to make choices to remain profitable. And those choices (we hope) should be based at least in part on valid feedback from us the customer.

  3. Hi everyone. I was searching for info on whether the wine package was available on the Crown as we are sailing on this ship next month. Glad to have found this thread on the subject. We sailed on the Coral last Nov and bought the 14 bottle Gold pkg and never regretted doing so. The wine list offered many good selections in the $30 -$45 range, one of the best being a Barolo listed at about $43. One limitation we did hear about is that you can only use the card in a restaurant. That didn't bother us but some on board friends did like to have the occasional bottle of champagne in their cabin. They got around this limitation by getting the bottle at the bar in the buffet restaurant and taking it back to their room. Just thought I would add this tidbit.
