  1. Another cruiser that will board her on Sunday!   Have you tried the Omelets at Johnny Rockets?

Does Chops have a similar menu for lunch?  The Forrest Mushroom soup sounds to die for!

Thanks for posting the compasses!  It will help me plan for next week!

If you see someone with a blue Cruise Critic shirt and a Birthday Crown waiting to board when you debark that will be me!

    Thanks again for posting!

  2. First 67 cruises!  WOW!  I want to be you when I retire!

Where is the best place for breakfast?  I understand they do omelets at the Wipeout cafe but does the Windjammer. Solarium, Park cafe or Johnny Rockets do them?

Any night to skip the main dining room and eat somewhere else? What is your favorite specialty restaurant?

I've been a cruiser for a while (#15 for me) but what is something unique on the Oasis I shouldn't miss?

It's my turn (for my 59th BD) Sunday!

  3. All I can see opposite 8088 is cabin 8087! That's according to the CC deck plans.

I think it used to be some kind of next cruise area or something along those lines but not 100% on that.

On RCCL's deck plan this is the Serenade. The other 3 Radiance class ships show an Explorers' court. Gonna check with the TA tomorrow!

  4. Our turn on the Freedom comes up 2 weeks from Sat. WOO!HOO!

Just a couple of questions: At CR and PC, where off the ship were JJ's and Mario's group located to pick up their tours? How did they identify themselves?

We have the same excursion plan you had, Paradise Beach in Coz, JRC w/ JJ in CR, Mario in PC.

For the cooking class, did you have to sign up before hand?

BTW, when are you planning your next cruise?

Can't wait for our turn on the Freedom!

  5. Really love your review so far! Thanks for taking the time so the rest of us can enjoy it too!

Thinking of changing my current booking to this ship in June. We live near Atlanta and the recent snow days have already taken out our "President's week" break. Just afraid of more that would push the end of school up to June and possibly effect my son's HS graduation! Plus I work nights and had to flip my week so I'm currently scheduled to work my cruise week! :( We will also be driving from Dallas, GA to Ft. Lauderdale. We are Hilton Honors members so we will most likely stay at the Embassy Suites and leave our vehicle there.

Wanted to know how much time you spent at the JRC? BTW, you have a great "eye" with your camera shots! :) We want to do this and either the zipline or arial tram tour. Have been reading up on the tour operators and JJ sounds pretty good.

Looking forward to your 'ending'! Let us know when you post the Dailys from the trip!

  6. We will have our first AFT (7708) balcony on the Liberty in October. This will be my DS (4) first balcony.

I've seen in the photos that the railings are not the glass like the side balconies are. Should I be worried he could slip through the spaces? Not that I'd let him out on the balcony alone.

You will LOVE the space on the balcony! I would gestimate the rails themselves are 6 inches apart, with the top railing being about 36-40 inches high. One of the mental comment I made to myself while enjoying my balcony was "I'm glad my kids are older (15 & 16) This balcony might be a challenge if I had a climber!" I doubt he could slip thru the balcony rails but could climb over it if so inclined! I did notice security cameras there that kept an eye on the back of the ship!

The door to get outside to the balcony IS rather hard to pull, and it would take the strenght of an older child to open it. I don't believe a 4yo could. I don't recall a lock on the balcony, but I'm sure there is one there, just didn't notice it because I didn't need it. I know they sell a spring-loaded door stop you can put on sliding glass doors. Might want to look into it.

If you have a fold up kid sized chair that you could put in your suitcase that might help. He would have his "special chair" to sit in. Just an idea.

Have a great time on the LOS in October!

  7. We had 7708, one of the Corner Afts, AND ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! :) IT had SOOO much room to move around! Yes, the D1 cabin is not at big the as the 1700 one, but the size of the balcony (my DH said it was 10 X 15 feet!) was well worth the sacrifice! And the view and sound of the wake was amazing!

Yes, we are now AFT BALCONY SNOBS!! ;) Thanks to Bonnie Voyager!

  8. We are sailing LOS in June and can't wait! Also have our first aft cabin this time, (7708, corner aft) but won't get to go to Coz :(

My DH and I will be in our 50's starting this year  but still have DS's in HS. I hope we will be able to hook up with a fun group like yours in a few years!! Ya'll seem to have alot of fun together!!

    Again, great pics and review!

  9. Will you post the Compass sheets on a web site? We are doing the Western route also and would love to have some updated info.

Movies on board? I know they ususally change these every other cruise or so but would love to know what was showing on board.

Seems your family had a marvelous time! I waited till the Freedom Class was more reasonable in price. We will most likely wait till the Alure has been out a couple of years before we try the Oasis Class!!
