Booked on Caribbean Princess for Sept 22, 2016. Flying into NYC a day ahead. Any suggestions re: hotel and which airport is closest to the cruise port? I have read that Princess docks at Pier 12/Brooklyn. Yet it says one may take a transfer from Manhattan or Brooklyn. I am reading, also, that Brooklyn is near La Guardia. Any advice?

Is it better to just fly into LaGuardia, rather than JFK for a Princess cruise out of Pier 12? At this point, I have my choice but would prefer the closest to the pier.

Do you know of a nice, clean hotel near LaGuradia?

In Venice, we will be at the Hilton Molino Stucky Hotel. Is there anyone else staying there that would like to share a water taxi? It is not the best location for transportation but we have stayed there before & I LOVE THE HOTEL. It is a refurbished 400 yr old flour mill and now a fantastic hotel. The free shuttle goes back and forth to San Marco but to get from the ship to the hotel and to the airport the next morning, a water taxi or alilugana is needed. Let me know if you would like to share a water taxi. Thanks!

In Rome, did you feel the best transportation to the cruise port was the train?

I don't like the idea of dragging luggage down so many steps, etc.
