  1. Saw some support for Uncle Charlie's, so let's go there - it's gay, in Midtown, very close to Grand Central and the theater district, and has lots of space.

Uncle Charlie's - 139 East 45th Street (north side of street between Lex and 3rd, 2nd floor)

It's been mostly men on here, but want to emphasize it's LGBT, and bring your LGBT-friendly cruisemates as well!

    Looking forward to meeting everyone.

    - Frank

  2. Apologies for delay in responding - am in Chicago on business. Chuck and Scott - thank you for your original offer - that was very gracious - I will look forward to meeting you two.

I had suggested the date of April 20 originally. I posted on the roll call suggestions of Lily's at the Roger Smith on Lex bet 47 and 48, Therapy (upstairs - that was a good suggestion by someone) or Uncle Charlie's.

    Thoughts?

  3. Hi - Thank you for starting the thread.

Manhattan here (East Side, thus the name). Did a QE2 crossing decades ago coming home from studying in Europe - there used to be youth fares that were cheaper than airfare (OK, I'm dating myself as almost 50 here). Recently have done a 5-day QM2 Halifax/Boston cruise (loved it) and a 2-week Celebrity cruise (liked it much less). This August going on an 11-day European cruise along the Atlantic coast on Azamara.

Have not done a gay cruise (at least not on water), so cannot comment. However, there was a Pied Piper group on the QM2, and met some very nice people from the group.

Great to see other people in the Tri-State area here - hopefully, we'll get to sail together one day!

    Happy cruises to all.
