  1. Suggest packing on your hand luggage before going to terminal if you intend to declare and hand it over for safekeeping on embarkation.

I would venture to guess that if you pack it in hand luggage, they will not allow it on and tell you to return it to your car, which the OP will not have. Put it in your checked luggage and they will confiscate it and return it at the end of the cruise.

  2. Would anyone consider going on a 5 day on the Triumph and then three days later going on a 7 day on the Dream a side to side or just two cruises not far apart?

Why not the Mon-Sat 5 day on the Triumph then the Sunday departure on the Dream? Or the Dream first then the Monday on the Triumph? Especially if itinerary doesn't matter.

I would do it in a heartbeat!

  3. Hello All!

Regular Carnival cruiser and the DW and I decided to try RCI out for a change. My question is on the Drink packages...

Do all cruisers in the room have to buy the package or can just one? (Carnival requires all over 18 in the room to buy it)

Is fruit juice included in the Premium package? (I like rum mixed with Pineapple and Orange)

    Thanks!

BTW, Navigator of the Seas in late OCtober!

  4. Back in 2011 on the Ecstasy, an elderly man passed out during breakfast at the drink station right next to me. I reached for him as he was falling, as did his daughter but neither of us caught him. He hit his head on the deck pretty hard. I used to be an EMT so directed someone to go get help as we held him still, stabilizing his neck. He came to after about 30 seconds and tried to get up. We (his daughter and I) convinced him to lay still until help arrived. Within a minute security was there, and did mostly crowd control (gawkers are everywhere!) and the response team was there with three minutes. I stepped back after giving my "report" and they evaluated him further. Eventually, they helped him up into a chair, and then carried him down to what I assume was the Infirmary, but could have been his room. Then I went to my room and washed up from where I dropped my breakfast all over myself reaching for him!

I did see him later in the cruise and asked how was doing. He said he just got light-headed and was doing fine.

I thought the response from Carnival was fine.

  5. Mr. Sancho's collects their money upon arrival, and yes, they do take credit cards.

The $10 deposit you paid ahead of time is for the booking agent, and is therefore refundable in most cases.

We love Mr. Sanchos, and when visiting Coz, is the only place we go.

  6. No, not trying to hide anything, but I was curious...

How many people take cruises without thier spouse? I have a job that allows me 6 weeks of leave a year and I want to cruise more. However, my wife only gets 2 weeks a year. She loves to cruise, but is restricted by her commitment to work. She has told me to take friends, Brothers, Sisters, kids, Mom when she cant go, but they dont always match up with my travel times. I am thinking about taking a few solo cruises just to relax...

    Suggestions? Opinions?

    Thanks!
