Personally I would spend the time on the ship and put the money elsewhere. Disney or some park closer to where you live. With so many other people being off the ship it will be just that much nicer to be on it. Now if RC didn't charge an arm and a leg then it might be worth it to go. Considering you already paid for the fun stuff on the ship I would just stay on it. You can always get off to go an the beach and the bbq.

If you haven't been to Coco Cay since it's been refurbished, I definitely suggest you check it out!  So much to do without spending money.  Go to the Oasis Lagoon, the pool with the swim up bar.  There's also the Beach, and plenty of food options.  I went in December, didn't spend any money, and it truly was the perfect day!  Looking forward to going back in November!!

We had the BEST TIME watching the Patriots AFC championship game in January with this view in 70+degree weather. Even better that they won and went on to win the Superbowl!!

(sorry, you're probably not a Patriots fan being from NJ, but it is a memory I won't forget!)

  3. One question about your cabin. We're in a D8 next April on Anthem (deck 7) and the pics and videos I've seen on here and on youtube of the balcony cabins show some with cabinets over the sofa and some without. Do you or does anyone know what determines that?

If the bed is by the balcony there are only cabinets over the bed, not the sofa. If the bed is by the entry door, that's when you get cabinets over the bed and the sofa.

  4. Hope the videos are coming through?

Yes, I can see your videos no problem. As far as your wife's question about leaving your seapass in the slot, you can just use any card and leave it there. Wouldn't recommend a credit card, but I used my local supermarket rewards card. Take advantage of the ship not being full yet and do the North Star and bumper cars.

  5. I did Northstar twice. It really isn't as bad as it looks. Kinda like looking out of the window of a building. The view was so nice I forgot to be scared.

    Denise.

Hi Denise! Yes, you did the Northstar with me on your birthday!! And then the group get together at Schooner for a bday drink. Great reminiscing! Looks like we had better weather in January, always blue skies and no rain.

  6. They include other alcohol. They will make just about any mixed drink that doesn't require a blender....i.e. martini, etc.

Drink coupons are not good in the dining room and a couple of other venues that I can't remember right now. At least that is the way it was on our cruise. Both lounges were packed!

When we ate at Devinly Decadence the waitress told me that got changed and you can order the free drinks, so I did. Same thing at American Icon. They even had the Diamond drink menu available.

  7. So is it between 6pm and 8:30pm drinks are free for Diamond Plus members at all bars onboard or just the Diamond Lounge, Concierge Club and Music Hall.

Is it just wine or do they include other alcohol?

    Jimbo:)

For Diamond and above, 3 drink vouchers are loaded onto your seapass card to use between 5-8:30 daily. In the Diamond Lounge, it's unlimited drinks and they don't deduct off your pass, that's why it's so crowded. You can go to any bar to get your free drinks. It is limited, but they offer vodka, gin, whiskey, beer, wine, etc. There's a list to choose from.

  8. Hi Radio!

I'm so excited to read your live review. I just got off yesterday and had a wonderful 12-night sailing. We had perfect 85 degrees at all the islands. Sorry you are having rough seas. I was also on deck 8 but you have a better balcony than I did, same bed setup near the balcony door.

I really enjoyed dynamic dining and eating with "friends", sometimes just 4 of us, sometimes up to 10. Better than being herded in like cattle in MDR.

Jimmy was on my sailing and will be on vacation for 2 months.

p.s. casino isn't very loose with sharing money. Don't waste much money there, lol.

    Happy sailing!

  9. @loyalroyal17 I was looking at majesty also because of key west, we've never been there and always seems like such a fun place! But, having been on the majesty before, I am really looking forward to the enchantment, thinking we may even stay on board in Nassau. We'll see...

    Thanks for sharing :-)

In Nassau we stayed on the ship while most people got off, so it was nice having a lot more room on the pool deck. Later in the afternoon we went in town shopping, and enjoyed drinks and a snack at Senor Frogs. Great, fun atmosphere and glad we got off for awhile.

    Enjoy your cruise!
