  1. Afternoon,

Does anybody have any experience of this excursion? Seems like a long day however definitely something we fancy doing. Just curious if anybody has done it and their thoughts on the amount of travel. Is it a rush all day or well balanced?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  2. Hello.

I just have a quick question. We have a booking for an Asia cruise in feb 2025. There is just no way we will be able to make the trip.

My question is, We have currently have our deposit down on this and I hopeful we would be able to transfer our deposit to a new booking? We have seen some itineraries in 2026 that we like, Would rather transfer to these cruises than lose our deposit. Is this going to be an option for us? Did call celerity however their phone lines are off for the next hour so thought I would lean on the knowledge on here.

    Appreciate any help.

    Thank you.

  3. Ok, so called and spoke to celebrity after receiving an email from them advising of the changes.

Was speaking with an agent who advised no changes to sailing even after I read out the email I had received. Just after that the line was cut off.

Called back and was on the phone for 45 minutes, Finally it is all sorted and our booking has been transferred over.

Whilst I was on the phone I asked the very helpful agent how much would it cost for us to upgrade our booking to a veranda from an oceanview, She advised it would cost over £6,500.

I politely declined the upgrade. That surely has to be a mistake? £6,500 on top of what we have paid for the oceanview, I couldnt believe it.

Looks like the correct sailings are now showing on the UK site for you now…might be worth another “chat” with someone.

I’m so sorry that you have had such a complicated first experience with your first Celebrity sailing.

Have tried a few times to do mock bookings, However once you select a room and try to continue, get an error message every time. So can’t actually book these yet.

So still not sure what’s going on,

  5. My good god. This is first ever booking with Celebrity, So far, It is terrible.

I still have not heard anything from Celebrity regarding this, So I called them again.

"sir your solstice sailing on the 19th is going ahead as planned"

I insisted she look at the website where the sailing for the 19th does not even exist.

It's an error apparently, Sailings are going ahead as normal. Not to worry.

Asked if she can open my booking then as it just shows as cancelled. She advised cannot. Went away to investigate further. Came back only to say, Sailing on the 19th is going ahead.

Not convinced I've ever had anything like this before, Guess I just rock up to the port on the 19th Feb. 😅

Are these price mistake cruises? I heard there were issues with pricing on some newly released cruises where they're trying to collect more money now due to pricing mistakes. Maybe it was easier to cancel them than it was to ask people to pay more money?

It’s my first ever time booking with Celebrity, So genuinely have no idea what normal pricing is to be honest.

It is a 12 night cruise all included and we paid over £3,500 for an oceanview during the Black Friday sale for 2 adults.

Not sure if that is typical pricing or not. If it is a pricing error, not convinced I’ll be sailing Celebrity any time soon. 🤣

  7. So Celebrity have emailed me back, Response is below.

I hope this email finds you well.

I can confirm sir that I have received the screenshot that you have sent to me and forwarded to the relevant team and they have advised  me that we haven’t announced yet any cancellation.

This has been raised already and relevant team are closely monitoring this matter.

    Thank you.

  8. When I spoke with Celebrity earlier, The guy on the phone asked me to send hum a screenshot of the cancellation message. So I have done this and he advised will call me back.

So that is how I left it.

Will update here once I have heard.

Hopefully it is just a website error. Doesn't seem that way however.

The fact that your sailing is no longer available for booking on Celebrity's system is not a good sign.  If Celebrity cancels a cruise, that is usually their first visible step.  However not all cruises that suddenly become unavailable for booking end up as cancellations either.

If it does turn out to be the case that this cruise is cancelled, When do you think Celebrity will let us know?

I know its a long way off, However would still like to know.

It took awhile for my TA to get someone to realize that it was canceled…he was never notified but I noticed on my cruise planner page that the voyage was canceled…which cruise were you on?

We are booked onto the feb 19 2025 out of Hong Kong.

Earlier in the call they confirmed its cancelled, Then went away and came back and said its not.

I have not had a cancellation email however and the booking still shows in my cruise planner. So maybe its not. Who knows.

Was able to get price protection including the OBC I had from Black Friday and because it was an OBB….it took quite awhile for my TA to convince the agents that it is canceled….since it was still showing as active in some of their systems….

Well that is good news. I will have to speak to celebrity in the morning and try to do the same, I booked directly with them.

Did you move to the march 15th sailing?

My only concern is that if the ship is indeed going in for a dry dock, She may not be fully ready for that sailing. Don’t want to fly from the UK to Hong Kong only to end up having the sailing cancelled anyway.

Such a shame this has happened.

Because the cancellation is for a cruise that is so far into the future, expect little or no compensation for the affected passengers.

I just looked at the only available sailing from Hong Kong for the same itinerary. The cost is so much higher than what we paid, doesn’t have the same onboard credit offer either. Hopefully the honour the rate and promo and switch us over to the other sailing.

never had this happen however so really don’t know what to expect.
