  1. I am with John Watson on this one, the consequences of not keeping travel

insurance fully informed of medical history could be horrendous. As stated they will be very thorough in an effort to find a reason not to pay out for what is likely to be a very expensive claim. To advise you to stay quiet is quite frankly stupid but ultimately its your call. Good luck and lets hope you never have to claim whatever your decision.

  2. We recently had a credit card hacked that had not left our bedroom drawer for over 2 years. It was used in the USA to book 2 flights and a couple of other transactions. Whilst there are many ways to obtain your details to complete fraudulent transactions it it would seem that you do not need the card to do it. We went through a process of trying to identify the suspect or company responsible. The credit card company were very quick to right off the debt, which at the time gave us some relief, then it suddenly dawned on us with a few hints from the credit card fraud officer that the card was probably not used in any way. The main purpose of my reply is to share our experience and whilst I don't read into your post that you imply a source of your concern others may, time will tell.

  3. Hi Traceyjayne, We sailed on the Britannia a couple of weeks ago to Norway for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the ship. We have booked in many different ways over the years all have worked well, but by shopping around you can sometimes pick up the odd extra. Having said that we have just booked again direct with P&O because they gave us the best on board spend.

As far as the negative comments are concerned.Everybody is entitled to their opinion however some people seem to be professional whingers. They are fortunately a minority on the ships but unfortunately quite vocal across all the cruise forums. In my experience all the ships are different and so are the cruise lines. But most of the ships I have been on have been full with many repeat customers so I would suggest they do a pretty good job.

Enjoy booking and planning your cruise and make good use of this forum to ask questions. There are some great people on here who can help you have a great holiday.

  4. Last week we boarded the Britannia with a reported 3700 passengers, I could only imagine the logistics required to do this in only a few hours. Imagine if rather than a very small minority who appear so selfish about their own holiday, the majority had the same self centred approach to life, total chaos. I applaud all the cruise lines that appear able to turn those ships around in about 12 hours. Thanks to the crew and fellow passengers of the Britannia last week for providing my family and I a lovely holiday.

  5. I am a diabetic and due to be on a Fjord cruise in July, following a thread I put on the Diabetic UK forum a number of people recommended 9 bars as a good reserve food source. They are available at most supermarkets or Holland and Barratt, I buy them in bulk from Amazon. I have used them on my travels last year and found them to be a handy top up. I apologise if you are already aware.

  6. I am booked on the 9/7 sailing and unfortunately booked on the train independently, so far no refund available. Whilst it is not the end of the world I would be interested to know when P&O were made aware of this change as there have been rumours for many weeks. We were not informed by P&O but they confirmed the change today when we phoned them. I also noticed on their website that Flam is still listed on the itinerary for sales purposes. At the moment I feel that P&O have not acted with integrity, maybe I am being cynical and unfair but we appear to be informed only after full payment has been made. Lets hope we all enjoy the cruise anyway.

  7. Having read a number of negative comments about the Celebrity call centre I had prepared for a long wait for my call to be answered. I was surprised when my call was answered immediately by Kat who was most helpful whilst I upgraded my drinks package. The whole contact experience was very positive.

I am now ready and looking forward to joining the Eclipse on the 23 Nov 2014, after a few nights in Miami. My first cruise as an Elite guest. I am sure it will be as good as all the others we have had on this ship. I am so happy. :):)
