  1. I've found sometimes on-board has a better price.;)

A thought, you might want to check out the ship to see if they have your brand's, and their prices, that way when you get in port you will know which is better.in port they all have their big duty free and sale signs . but some times they are not.

    hope this helps

  3. I have found the best way to set-up a Meet & Greet, is to call the Carnival 800 # and ask to speak to the Group Event's Dept. They can set you up with a room, with a microphone, and confirm, and send you an e-mail with the info ,then you can post on your roll call, and you will have to let them know about how many folk's you will have about 2 week's prior to sailing. As stated you can contact JH if you wish, he can be busy sometimes, and you may not get an answer, until close to sailing.

As far as drink's go there are 2 way's to set this up

Cocktail Hour- Bar about $21 per person

This way you will need 20 people and one person will have to collect all the monies in advance, the bad thing is everyone attending will have to pay ;)

Open- Bar Drink's charged to your S&S Card

When you are speaking with Group Event's they can set this up.

The nice thing about doing it this way , only those wishing to have a drink will pay. As not everyone drink's, and for some folk's it might be tooooo early this way has worked out better for our group's

    Hope this help's

  4. We have cruised a number of times on Carnival, usually Carnival is not our main cruise during the year as we prefer RC for many reasons but we always come back for that getaway on Carnival. Our most favorite ship was the Dream, blindfold me I would think I was on RC, we may consider going on the Breeze next year (family 7 adults, need four cabins) and have a few questions, if you can help it be appreciated!

On a scale of 1-4 with 4 being excellent, 3 very good, 2 fair and 1 poor how would you rate on the Breeze?

    Buffet breakfast - 2

    Buffet lunch- 2

Dinner in main dining room- 3

Service in main dining room- 3

    Service at bar areas- 3

    Cabin Steward- 4

    Cocktails- 3

    Liquor Package- did not use

    Casino- 2

Snacks to eat past 1am- did not use

    Pizza- 3

    Live Bands- 3

    Music/acustic guitarists, etc.- 3

    bedding/mattresses-3

    pillows and covers- 3

    Thank you.

We did a B2B2B on the Breeze, never once felt crowded, except the buffet.

My wife prefers the spirit class. Everyone has different likes ,and dislikes.

Would sail on her again. What ever you decide enjoy your cruise :)

  5. We're bringing wine and not sure if to take wine glasses or not. Are they provided in the rooms?

Former Royal Caribbean employee, 10 years at sea :)

If not, just ask your room steward, they can get you a corkscrew also

    enjoy your cruise :D:D

  6. Mr Heald had it sent to the room before hand...they called my room first and told me......ours was a 35 person meet and greet.....collecting money surprisingly was easy.....it was almost all Canadians and they paid through pay pal since my cruisemate and other Large Marge in charge had an account.....I only had Two people send checks....the worst was trying to make a few non drinkers understandably you have to pay regardless......one person got a little inflamed when I told them that......he told me that....."They didn't drink and are watching their weight so they won't be partaking in the chex mix" in the bowls on the table.either.....ahhhhh buddy.....its $11.50......he never showed at the sail away drink at the aft bar FREE OF CHARGE to meet anyone beforehand either....Another person just said she was going to stop in and say hello and meet everyone....again.....NO SORRY... because there were people there who drank pop and never complained about paying that FAIR amount......just didn't think $11.50 was unfair regardless if you're on a diet or you're just plain cheap....

It is no longer $11.50, and hasn't been for sometime, heard it was around the $20 mark. Glad it went fairly well for your group, ya, can't please everyone I guess. All the best. :)

  7. The price has since doubled from last year and now they limit the drinks. It's not as simple as it once was, sadly. :(

    Hi, rrraydon,

When, you combine the Cocktail Hour with your M&G, you are correct, the prices have doubled , didn't know the drink's were limited ? Everyone that comes thru the door will pay, drinkers or not, you have to collect, all monies in advance, real pain in the butt

There is a much better way to set up bar service. Call Carnival, and ask for Group Services for your ship. They can set everything up for you, very easy.

You just have to tell the rep, that you want Bar service for your group, ask that the drink's are charged to everyone's S&S Card. Then for those that wish to drink can, and those that don't want to don't. Two week's prior to sailing send them an e-mail with the number attending and there you go, very easy.

When you board, go to Guest Services, and ask to speak with the Group Event's Person, you can let them what you will need, ie: microphone, or anything else. Ask about prizes from Carnival. We did this on the Miracle, and the Breeze. For about $5 we bought a roll of drink ticket's, to use for the draw's, rip in half, one in the bucket, the other half to the guest. We also did a 50/50 draw, half to the winner, the other half we split between the bar staff, they will get their 15% tip's, but were very surprized to get that little extra.

This may or may not work for you, just a thought. ;)

Enjoy your cruise, hope this help, somewhat

    Vic

  8. Oh,, I didn't know they would do that.. I thought they charged it to one person's S&S card... That would be alot better because some people don't drink... Thanks a bunch..

Yup, that is the better way to go. What you had in mind , you are right , you would be combining, your M&G with the Cocktail hour, then one person's S&s card is charged, then you have the hassle of collecting all the monies up front which would mean setting up a Paypal, or some other acc, as everyone attending would have to pay. And the prices have doubled for the Cocktail Hour.

Group event's will set up the room and the bar service, you might also want ask for a microphone , will save you having to yell to be heard. ;)

    all the best

    Vic

  9. When you contact Carnival's Group Event's to get a room and set up your M & G, just ask that the drink's are charged to everyone's S & S card's , as not everyone might want to drink. Doing it the other way everyone attending will have to pay.

That how we set it up for our up coming Breeze cruise. hope this help's

    Enjoy your cruise :D
