Thanks for another tremendous review! We are definitely looking at Celebrity for our next cruise, and are anxiously reading yours as well as Chris' to compare AQ class vs. a regular balcony cabin. Hope you had a good birthday even though you had to work!:)

Looking forward to reading your review Chris. We are looking at a Celebrity S-Class ship for our next journey, and I am seriously considering AQ class. Have an amazing time!

Please post a picture of you and Fabio from that Top Chef Cruise! Food porn and chefs to drool over ;) combined! I am so excited to read that review!

Loving this review. Thanks for bringing back some great memories! I enjoy your excitement and enthusiasm! Keep up the great work!

Hi Sherri,
Have been checking every day to see if you are well, and am hoping that no news is good news! Can't wait to see you back on the CC boards!:)

It was a spectacular cruise because of the itinerary. We saw so many beautiful ports & the foliage was just gorgeous. Thanks for taking time to read my lengthy review.
Thanks Cindy for such a detailed review! I am thoroughly enjoying it, and like you, love to photograph churches! On my last trip to NYC, I have more shots of the churches than anything else! :)
We are debating which Alaskan cruise to go on, but now I may want to do the Canada cruise instead! Such a beautiful area to enjoy!

I know. I know. Do you have any questions I can answer?
I was really enjoying your review! It looked like your balcony was port side. Would you recommend port over starboard as far as the scenery goes? There is nothing I enjoy more than breakfast on the balcony or a cocktail on the balcony before dinner!:)

I haven't tried it on Carnival yet. I could drink RC's all day too!
Thanks for reading! I hope you have a great time when you cruise.
Where did everyone else go? Lots of people lurking (almost 11,000 views in less than a week) but the comments have slowed down. Don't be shy! Say hi and leave some feedback! I like knowing that people are enjoying reading. :)
Thanks so much for your excellent review! I am logging onto here late, but so glad I stumbled across it! I had originally planned on being on this very cruise, but other commitments got in the way... So glad I can still enjoy it through you! We are now trying to schedule a Med. cruise in 2013...

Thank you Chrystal for your lovely report and all the pictures! I have been trying to decide on a ship/cruise line for my next cruise, and looking at the pictures on the CCL forum and comparing the ships to RCCL. I guess CCL decor is okay for some, but personally, I just feel I am more of a calm, elegant, uncluttered RCCL type! I like to relax on my cruises! Good luck with that baby! I am sure he will be a mountain of joy for you and Wes! :)

Beautiful picture! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your cruise! This is one we are considering for next Spring! :)
I don't want to leave tonight with images of such bad weather from our cruise, so, I will post a lovely warm image from Bermuda: -
And this, my friends, is the #1 reason why DH and I love having a balcony when we cruise:
It's become a tradition- we almost always have room service breakfast on our balcony each morning when cruising, unless it's way too hot out there. In that case, we have breakfast in bed, lol. Leading up to the cruise, we'll remind each other about our breakfast tradition. We really look forward to it. Besides the fruit that I brought down from the Solarium (mango and pineapple), the table is filled with the types of food you can expect from room service at breakfast. The other fruit plate is on the room service menu too:
I see they still have the grilled tomatoes on the new menu, too! It wouldn't be the Allure without the grilled tomatoes! Loving your review! Wish we were there with you!

Loving your review! :) In many of your photos, there are people in short sleeved t-shirts all the way to winter coats! What was the temperature like? We are from Wisconsin, so we are used to it being cold, but I am not sure how to pack for our trip next summer.

Just wanted to say thanks again for your great review!

dining room is carpeted so no noise issue from above.
yes, there is a safe- you will need a card with a magnetic strip (a shopping card. do NOT use a sign and sail card. leave is somewhere in the cabin (like a pocket in a pair of pants hanging in the closet
there is a fridge--but its not really cold.
Why do you need a card with a magnetic strip? How does that work in the safe? Sorry, this seems totally foreign to me. Is that how it works on all ships, or just RCCL?
Thanks.

Has anyone had this room? Is the balcony odd shaped since it is on the corner of the hump? Did you have any problem with noise since there is a Presidential Suite above you?
Thanks!
-
Do they let passengers onto the helipad area at any time? How do you get there when you are on the Allure? I would love to see the night sky and all the stars that we don't see up north!
-
Has anyone had this cabin? Is the balcony windy? Is it bigger or odd shaped because it is at the start of the hump? Should I switch to 9240 which is closer to the middle of the hump? Thanks.
