  1. I REALLY need a copy of this menu! I am sailing with some friends who have only had the "old" menu & I NEEED to let them know what o expect - they cruise primarily for the food & I am SO afraid they are going to be disappointed with the new menu, let alone that there will be no Lobster on elegant night... PLEASE help me!!! :(

  2. We have sailed in Triumph's 2456 & 2457 & love them for their size - they are all the way aft. Look at Conquest cabins 2470-2474 & 2473-2475 on the Main deck. They look to be of similar configuration.

The only drawback is their is some noice & vibration on when docking - that is where the anchors are located. But on port days, most of us are up early to go into port for the day.

Love having the extra space & the view of the wake is spectacular! Good luck!!!

  3. Even though we are only 1 hour from the Port of Galveston, we ALWAYS drive down the day before the cruise, stop at Pappas Seafood off I-45 S at Webster, and have a nice lunch. Then drive down to Galveston, check into our hotel, grab a trolly down to the Strand, and enjoy the afternoon. Back to the hotel, and a light dinner & bedtime.

Catch the shuttle to the Port, and board as soon as we can. Take the required boarding photos, & to Lido for the first DOD and some lunch. Wait for cabins to be opened & settle in. Go back to Lido for sail away!!! 13 days out, and cannot wait!!! :p

  4. This is my 10th Carnival cruise, but my first balcony - in the past I have always gone oceanview (mainly for the price). But they ran a Halloween sale, and a balcony cabin was pretty much the same as my favorite oceanview cabin (an oversized aft cabin), so I went for it. BUT... they get to pick the cabin!!!

Then I panicked - I LOVE my Triumph 2457 cabin - love to watch the ship's wake, & the cabin is HUGE. Turned into one of those "OMG -what did I do" moments!

Has anyone had a really CRAPPY balcony cabin? If so, HOPEFULLY we won't get it!!! Thanks for any comments!!!

  5. We LOVE this cabin! I have sailed on it 3 times, and on our next Triumph cruise 12-6, it was already booked, so we went next door to the starboard side & booked 2457. It is HUGE - lots of floor space. We had a meet & greet in it on one cruise & it held 5 couples comfortably (standing & sitting on the small sofa & chair). Love to watch the wake of the ship out of the window.

The downside - it is in the far aft of the ship, and you will hear noise & feel the vibration when we pull into port, but by that time, we are starting to get up & around to eat breakfast in the dining room (which is SO MUCH BETTER than the cattle car on the Lido deck). You can have a relaxing breakfast, go back to your cabin & get ready to go on shore. You will NOT be disappointed - SO much better than an inside cabin, no matter where it is located!

Calm seas, warm sun, good drinks & much fun hoped for your cruise!!!

  6. This is my favorite time to cruise as well. As far as the number of children - got to remember - a LOT of parents home school now. I asked quite a few of the parents on my last 12/2013 cruise , and they all said their children were home schooled. I found them to be a lot better behaved, and respectful towards adults as the children on the cruise I took in June...

  7. Yes, they do! I even personally "Built a Bear" for Carnival's St. Jude charity drive for my Grand Daughter for her birthday present in December last year. The have a variety of animals, from bears, seals, monkeys, and the one I did = an Alaskan Husky!!!
