I agree with bakersdozen12, everyone has their own preference. I like an extra soft bed like a full wave waterbed so I do appreciate the tip on the extra comforters. Although with chasing after my 10 and 6 year old all day I am sure I will be tired and will sleep on anywhere.

Our family has 4 of the 4K cabins booked. I look at it as we were going to get inside cabins and now we have a window with some light, even if we have a view of a lifeboat. We wouldn't have any view in a standard inside. It's a bonus that the doors open to allow fresh air.

I am registered for the Nov 12 sailing. No reservation number as of yet but still super excited.

Mamma Mia is being changed out before the ship heads to China. I have not heard what the new show is going to be but have indeed heard from our RCI sales rep that they are indeed replacing Mamma Mia.

My dad is famous for wearing speedos at his backyard pool and to do yard work. Always has as long as I can remember. Lately for family gatherings he has worn regular trunks. My dad and I are set to sail early december. My fear on this cruise that he will decide to wear it around the pool. I am hoping my mother talks him out of bringing it or I can find it and toss it overboard. lol.
All things Avalon Paris to Normandy
in River Cruising
Posted
We are confirmed on the Tapestry II on Oct 17 to Normandy. We are excited as it is our first river cruise.
We selected the Bizy excursion instead of Giverny.
We might change to the tour of Honfleur but now we are on the Route des Chaumieres while in Caudebec. We are also doing the US landing beaches tour.
We chose the Conflans sightseeing tour in the morning and might be Versailles in the afternoon but there will only be 30 minutes between the end and beginning of the two tours. Plus I don't want to fight the crowds at Versailles but hoping they won't be bad in October.
Last but not least we are doing the walking tour of Paris at the end.
This should be a lot of fun and we are looking forward to it.
