  1. I am trying to get clarification on the carry on wine policy for Celebrity Equinox for 2015. I understand that new rules went into effect on 1/1/15, but then read that Holland America received so many complaints that they rescinded theirs, so I am wondering what Celebrity's policy is. About all I can find out is that it is one 750 ml bottle per person. Is that correct or can each person bring a large bottle? Also, can you bring a box of wine. Yes, sorry wine snobs, but there are some decent, expensive boxed wines. Can anyone please clarify the policy? We are sail on 3/16/15. Thank you.:)

  2. I am trying to understand how the wine packages work on the Equinox. For example, a classic package has a price of $109. The description says the prices are per person per day. That would be ~ $218/day for the two of us - seems a bit high! If anyone has purchased the package, can you explain how this works, how many bottles you receive and if it is really $218/day for two people.

Also, the classis beverage package starts at $49/person/day. For an 11 day cruise, that would be over $1000 for two. Seriously, we enjoy a drink or glass of wine a day, but we're not designer coffee, tea or soda drinkers. Wouldn't we be better off just purchasing a drink or two without using the beverage packages? Would appreciate some insight from anyone who has used these packages.

    Thanks

  3. We are cruising on the Equinox in March of 2015. We have cruised several times on Holland America and have enjoyed their happy hour drink specials where they offer the second drink of the same kind for $1.00. It is a nice way to enjoy a libation and relax before dinner. I am wondering of Celebrity offers any type of happy hour specials. Thank you.

  4. Hi - we booked the Ryndam about a month ago and the cruise leaves on 12/8/13. At the time we booked, we requested early dining and a table for 4. They have us wait listed. I did try the chat line and was told to check with the dining room manager once we boarded to see if there were cancellations. Any suggestions on how we might get a table and time confirmed other than the above? Thank you.

  5. Thanks to everyone who responded. Will probably look into renting a car. We have done that previously when we have flown out of Miami for an extended overseas trip. Car rental is fairly inexpensive in Florida and there is no 'one way' drop off fee. Will let you know what we end up doing and how it worked out.

  6. Anyone have any recent (i.e. 2013) parking experience/recommendations for Port of Tampa? We haven't cruised out of that location before. I've seen some reviews outside of Cruise Critic and there doesn't seem to be any reasonably priced parking that is receiving good reviews. Looked into Capital (or Capitol) Parking and Premier Parking and they have very mixed reviews. We are taking a HA 14 day cruise in January and don't really want to pay an additional $210 for parking across the street from the terminal. Has anyone used 241 Parking? Out of the available options they seem to have the best reviews. Has anyone used hotel parking? We live only 2.5 hours from Tampa, so don't need an overnight stay in a hotel and are wondering if any hotels just offer parking in their lots and a shuttle to the port for a fee. Would appreciate any help previous cruisers could offer. Thank you.
