  1. We are supposed to sale on the Vista May 16th in a Havana aft corner wrap around balcony for hubby's 50th bday.  We set sail on his bday.   If it gets cancelled we plan to cruise on 12/5 but those cabins are sold out already.    Had booked it as a bday gift.  Will probably change to a different cabin type or to a suite

  2. I'm torn between going with the wrap around or keeping my aft-extended view.  I've got both holding and need to decide by tomorrow.   This will be my hubby's 50th birthday (will be on the ship the day of his bday).   Just the two of us on this cruise and trying to decide if that wrap around is worth the additional $580 over the aft-extended view.

  3. Very frustrating when they impose timelines but don't honor any of them on their end. With this new time fra me it will be 3 weeks until a response / acknowledgement aAnd no knows how long to get my refund. They wouldn't even say if it gets applied toward my cruise or if its a check or credit card refund.

The worst part was the guys attitude about it. Not I'm sorry, we have a high volume right now. Nope it was ,time who cares and saying that their superbisors don't not calls and to just send people to voicemail is poor customer service.

Wonder how long it will take to get a reply from my voicemail, or if any call at all.

I've heard others booked for this cruise still haven't been notified. That's poor service too. I've aalways had good luck & service with NCL but not this time.

So I was one of the unfortunate guests booked on the Escape for Nov 5th that got cancelled due to them booking out the entire ship for a charter. We are traveling with other family members so we all found a different week we could do and called and changed our booking.

Well the letter says they would honor air fare but NOBODY there could give you clear directions on how to request it or where to find it on the website. I went in and sent all the documents they needed to the Customer Relations group and got my confirmation it went through on 4/27 saying in 3 days I would hear a response.

As of today still nothing. After waiting on hold for over an hour for Customer Relations, I get put on hold again while they check with the rep handling our case. Reply was it will be 10 more business days before they follow-up. Asked to speak with a supervisor and was told "they are busy, and we were told to send anyone asking for a supervisor to voice mail" and he transferred me to Carmen's voice mail.

NCL told us we had to make a decision by May 10th, and when we changed our booking I was told I had to send over my receipt for my flight change within 72 hours of making the change. Did everything NCL has asked and before the deadline, and they can't even follow-up in the time frame they provided.

Extremely disappointed, and don't have a lot of faith in them that they are gonna honor the additional expenses as their letter stated

  5. What if my on board credit was more than the $50 they are now offering? Do I get both?

I booked early to get the cabin, price, and week I wanted. Now trying to get a week that all 8 of us can do, change flights and their $300 may not even cover it, plus losing money from pre-paid hotel for two nights.

Really unhappy with NCL. I could see if it was further out but not at 6 months

  6. Very disappointed and especially with the way they are communicating this. I found out through my TA at lunch time but my parents & sister who booked directly through NCL hadn't been notified.

We planned this at Christmas so we could all coordinate time to be away. Only my husband and I had booked our flights (non-refundable of course) and are looking at $280-$300 each to make changes if not more.

We don't want to do the Breakaway since half our group was just on the Getaway last year and we chose this specific itinerary. Now trying to find if we can move weeks, so extremely frustrating.

I tried numerous times to get through to NCL today and of course high volume waits and no luck. Due to time difference the line you have to call closes when I'm leaving work.

  7. How would you compare her to the Carnival Magic? I got a great deal on the Magic but the Navigator looks beautiful and now I'm considering splurging and changing.

Hi. We did the Magic for our honeymoon last November, and I would recommend you go with the Navigator instead. I've cruised several different lines (done 2 sister ships to the Navigator) and feel each has their own ups & downs, but I wasn't impressed with the Magic. It was my husbands first cruise and while he enjoyed it, we both found limited activities planned unless you want to do trivia or karaoke all day. We found the ship to be very smoke filled too - all areas with activities were planned in high smoking areas. Normally it doesn't bother me, but it was real bad on this ship. I've cruised Carnival before and had a blast, but the Magic was lacking something and I found a lot of the crew to be unfriendly.

We just booked the Navigator for November 1st and took a promenade cabin; its the same price as what my balcony would be on the Magic. Yes I lose having a balcony but at least I still have a window. After all, I'm not in the cabin much at all and I've done promenades before and enjoy people watching (especially has the bars close and they are trying to find their way to snacks or their cabins). I think its worth the price difference for the better amenities, better food, and Royal's activities match what I like to do.

Either ship, anytime I can be out to sea and away from work is a great day

  8. We were in 10327 (2nd from the end) this past week and it was perfect! Many aqua theater shows to see, watch the rock climbing, listen to the music, people watching, and seeing the ocean. I don't think there is a better balcony room than the Boardwalk balcony rooms! You have to like noise and activity. It isn't for those who want peace and quiet.

We booked 10327 for the week after Thanksgiving. Were you able to watch the show from your balcony or did you find it was better to get a seat in the theater?

  9. We didn't know about the bus either - our TA never told us. I did inquire since they have buses to NYC but they said nothing was available.

We booked our flight on Air Canada out of Logan. It's a direct flight for $115 (after taxes & fees). The flight is only 1 hour and 20 minutes.

We will be flying in on Friday morning so we can enjoy the day in Montreal and will set sail the next day.

There were also connecting flights out of Logan & TF Green for the same price and some higher. But you would spend 4 hours versus 1 hour and 20 minutes.
