Super - do you recall if they offered any deal on massages on the ship once you sailed? Pre-booking prices on the website are outrageous.

They only offered deal on days in port.

I received my phone in the mail today! The owner of Marineland excursions was awesome. They operate the deluxe Stingray City tour. I sent a fedex packing slip and they put in the mail right away. John worked with the excursion group to find my phone. I am so lucky to get it back.

Thank you for posting the internet fees. Can anybody comment on the quality of the internet (coverage, speed)? The last cruise we were on was atrocious.

It has been a great cruise! Except for losing my phone yesterday! But the excursion department worked with the company on shore and found it! Now working on having it shipped backed to the states. I have been very impressed with the staff on this ship. They have went out of their way to help me. I have spent more time in my wheelchair because of the unsteady legs and the moving of the ship. There have been some rude people on board but there are many more that went out of their way to help me on or off the elevators. The two excursion we did were the Chichen Itza by Air and the deluxe stingray city tour. We loved both of them. After talking to others that had done another stingray city tour that had to walk and find their bus and not having the food that was described I think we made the right choice on the Deluxe Stingray city tour. My wife and her friends did the behind scenes tour and loved it. Sorry for the late post on today’s today!

How do you get invited to sail away on the helipad?

I read about it on cruise Critic and I asked the concierge about it and we received an invitation a couple of days later. I don’t know what the rules are on who gets the invitation. I did see a lot of the same faces I see in Luminae.

We are in Grand Cayman today and there are 7 other cruise ships in port and we are all tendering. With 16,000 people on all eights ships I think it will be a busy port. So if you want to know ahead of time you can look it up online. I got this from caymanport.com

We did the Chichen Itza by Air today. It was a great excursion. It says you can’t use a wheel chair so I left mine on the ship. But after doing this excursion I think my Fold and Go Chair could have done this excursion. It might have needed a little push back up the hill from the cenote. We got back to the ship and did the helipad sailaway but I took video and will have to upload later. Here is tomorrow’s today! Enjoy I am going to bed!

We are on this cruise on dec 16. Can you tell me what your temperature have been. I am hoping it is very hot.

Now for the disgusting.... as with any large group, we have witnessed a little inappropriate and disgusting behavior this cruise.

 

For example, during the Galapagos future cruise discussion, one lady was VERY rude to the celebrity presenter. She would admonish the speaker for not repeating questions from audience etc. she was so obnoxious, many in the audience were shaking their heads and even chuckling every time she spoke. While that was bad, little did I know I would stumble across the most disgusting thing I’ve seen on a cruise.

 

At lunch today, DH and I always sit at the high top tables near the ice cream as it is rarely full. When we went to sit down, I looked down at the seat next to me and someone had pulled their fake nails off and left them on the chair. I took a picture as I would not have believed it if I’d not seen it with my own eyes. One of the celebrity team members cleaning the table kindly removed the fake nail remnants. What is wrong with people?

Thanks for the gorgeous pix and great commentary! We will be getting on the ship Sat Dec 9. I'm packing right now. This is an odd question, but can you tell me if there are a lot of coat hangers in the closet? I only have a dress, a pantsuit, and a few other things to hang, but DH likes everything hung up in the closet. Are there about 10-12? If not I will slip a few hangers in my suitcase.

We are in the royal suite and have over 30 hangers. We have friends in a inside room and they have 12 hangers.

Wonderful, I’llbe following along. We’ll be on the Equinox in 48 days or so for a B2B2B.Looking forward to Key West.

I have awebcam addiction so I watched the Equinox leave the port of Miami today and ifyou wave at the webcam in Key West tomorrow I might just get a glimpse of you!(I might not have much time but I can’t seem to resist the webcams, it alsoseems prolongs the pleasure we get out of cruising). I’ve also watching to seewhere the Equinox is docked and I’m glad it’s in town. The last 2 cruises wewere docked at the navy base and that turned out to be a hassle.

Make sure totake in the SILENT DISCO, it will be listed in your daily planner, it’s ablast. Specialty teas at Café al Bacio are not to be missed.

We didn’t do anything for sailaway. We were not on the Navy base. Lucky us. I have been taking time lapse pictures of all the sailaways from our balcony. Once I figure out how to attach videos I will upload them.
