  1. My personal choice is Celebrity. It's not the party boat but not overly stuffy.

We did the northbound trip from Vancover to Seward on the Millenium. Alaska is beautiful (thinking of doing it again but round trip from Seattle). I sailed on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean and will be on a disney ship in May. If I can choose I'd go Celebrity.

If you do end up in Seward I highly recommend getting the "special" train. It was one of the highlights. (Cruise line runs this so ask when you make reservations.) cost was around $100pp but worth it in my opinion...

    Best of luck!

  2. We made all arrangements with Disney for both Cruise and Air...is there a special time we need to be on a bus to go to the airport? Our flight is at 12:20pm. I'm hoping we don't have to be up and off at dawn. It would be nice to have one final meal at one of the dining rooms...

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

  3. Hi,

Any idea what happens if the port arrival time we select is before the time we get there?

Our flight/transportation will be handled by Disney but I won't know those details until after I do my online check-in. Patience is not a strong suit of mine....

    Thanks.

  4. Book your own...take it from one who has learned the hard way...I called DCL directly this time and the rep was great. In the past we used TA's because we traveled in a group. By using a TA some cruise lines won't allow the travelers to are certain changes. This is annoying if your agent isn't available. Booking yourself you can make any change you'd like and you leave out the middleman and a possible booking error.

  5. Hi,

Could someone let me know approximately what it costs to take a taxi to the Atlantis? (I have a couple of ladies who will like to visit the casino.) What method of payment?

And is there a long walk to/from taxi stands?

    Thanks!

  6. Hi,

This will be our first trip with DCL and we did order the Ground transportation. I was under the impression that someone from Disney will be at Orlando to get our luggage as well as get it to the airport. They didn't say anything would need to be done different if we used Southwest, which we will probably do.

I gave a couple of elderly in our party and just want to make sure they don't get stuck having to deal with suitcases.

    Any advice is appreciated.

  7. Geez, now I don't know what to do....I bought a nice pink rhinestone lanyard for my friend's mom who will be cruising with us next week. (She likes Bling we like her). I would just hate to give her a present that may be cause for ridicule. Guess its a good thing I got lanyards for the group!

And now I have another dilemma...how will our group of seven be able to walk around ports and not look like tourists....cause if a tiny lanyard isn't a giveaway that camera of mine will be screaming TOURIST!
