Am hoping to get some coverage on board the Solstice in a few weeks. Team Canada has a sizable group going and would watch some stuff as I think we might be in a favorable time zone for live coverage.
-
Ha, my cruising group needs this too and I was just coming here to ask if anyone could recommend a company. LOL 4 adults with 4 adult luggages
-
Yeah, fellow LOTR fan! I board in a month and booked post cruise to do Hobbiton. Question-are they still treating the Solstice for Noro? Just a precaution or did you find there were restrictions on your cruise? Looking forward to reading more!

Thanks for the posting, doing this cruise in about 6 weeks with friends so good to hear about a nice experience.

Cruisin Canine - Which route do you take....via Detroit or via Buffalo?
Fort Erie/Buffalo
Detroit take you too far west and I don't mind driving thru the mountains :)

ParkNGo-excellent service and good cost. We've always done as you, drove down from TO and prebooked with ParkNGo.

Agreed its a bit of robbery, given work and family obligations while back home, I did purchase unlimited for a 14 day upcoming cruise. I didn't want to spend port time looking for Wifi myself.

Thanks all. I think the one excursion I had marked ended up $10 cheaper than previously advertised but 10 bucks is 10 bucks! LOL
-
Since I've now paid in full for my cruise, I knew I had just one more excursion that was sitting in my Shopping Cart and should be checked out. I see it has the words, in red, ! Price Updated. I did do a search here using that term and didn't see anyone else with a clear answer. So does that mean they have upped the price since I put it in the cart or dropped price???
Thank all.

Have you checked with your Roll Call thread? I'm on the Solstice in Feb 2018 and our Roll Call was extremely well organized. A spreadsheet was uploaded, variious non ship excursions posted and 90% filled 6 months out!
-
So for clarity, call directly to Celebrity to arrange the Internet package? As much as I don't want to pay the big bucks, I don't want to spend my time at port looking for the closest Starbucks to get some WIfi. I'm leaving alot of responsibility here when I'm overseas cruising and I want home to be able to get me asap.

Read this thread as friends and I are booked on the Sydney to Auckland cruise Feb 3(14days) in 2018. We have started some excursion research but I'm going to look up that episode of Mighty Ships on the Solstice :) Thanks!

What a great thread and rich in pictures too! Thinking about a Sydney to Auckland cruise on the Solstice in Feb '18. Just a terrific resource!

Thanks for the timeline!

Have peeps sailing today on the Coral, saw earlier today the number in port and imagine that the embark/disembark today is a nightmare! What time is sailaway starting today?
-
OK question, on the Jan 3/15 sailing there is a group of forward reg. balcony cabins on sale, right beside the mini suites. Uh why? Reason I ask is that other balcony cabins a little further back are selling like hotcakes. This would be on the Baja Deck. Anyone?

Yes friends on the Emerald today, having been to PE and cruised out of there, it would have been a zoo!
-
Thanks guys. It's been a few years since they cruised so some of the minor details likely got overlooked. I'll email them and let them know they will be able to have the porters at the Dock find some. Sticky ones sound way better then what I did 2 yrs ago.
I personally think Princess should email about a reminder link a few weeks before sail dates but likely not the manpower for that step, and it should be one step...lol.
Cruise on....

Boss and hubby leaving on the Emerald on 18th. As they pulled out of the driveway yesterday, I said-did you print off your luggage tags? Blank look  back at me. I said it would have been like when you sailed before. Anyway, obviously not but they do have their own personal luggage tags on their suitcases. Husband claimed he never got an email about that this time. They did have a move up option re: cabin which they DIDN'T ask for was was sorted out and confirmed back via email to them on Friday Jan. 10th. Maybe this affected the sending of email with tag link with their cruise/cabin information. Don't know. ANYWAY, how important are the luggage tags for them to have? I can try and get them to get them printed off between now and Sat. AM if they are needed as I can get into the home computer to find the email no problem(no worries, trusted 20 year employee with clearance). They are driving down to the port, taking 5 days so I can get in touch with them if needed.
Thanks all!

Any recommendations? I have tried searching on Tripadvisor and also here but not coming up with much. Flying into Fort Lauderdale end of Jan and know this won't be a cheap night before the cruise.
