  1. stayed in one last year. 1221 (i believe) on the Glory, so similar ship. Was a great value and did not feel closed in as I would have in an interior. Only issue we had was we sailed through the middle of tropical storm Bonnie, and felt every minute of it. Lots of motion and noise from hitting large waves (they were high enough to wash over the top of our portholes.) First time I have ever been seasick. But barring a natural disaster it is great. Ill be in another one this April on the Elation

  2. On nights we decide for desert we want the chocolate melting cake we bring along a small jiff peanut butter on the go cup to add to them making it like a

    reeses peanut butter cake.

You literally just blew my mind with that one. Gonna have to try it on my next cruise

  3. You go in through a gate that is north of the actual terminal. There will usually be a cop there checking boarding passes to get in. Drive up a bit through a somewhat snaking line in a parking lot until you get to a spot where the path forks and taxi/drop-off goes one direction and parking goes the other. Parking is in the garage across the street. I was dropped of when I went so couldn't tell you the specifics for the garage. From there you go to the Porter and drop off you checked bags. At this point you get to the unique part. Charleston cruise terminal is at the end of a pier, however this pier is considered a secure location, so until you have been through security (which is in the building at the end of said pier) you are not allowed to walk on the pier. So they put you on a bus. Which takes you the 100 yards from the porter to the building. From that point it is business as usual.

  4. I've been told tat La Casa Del Habano is a reputable source. there is one on Cabo (never been before but here is the address: Madero s/n Blvd Marina y Guerrero, Cabo San Lucas, BCS , México. The franchise is called J&J Habanos)

  5. if its available get 7448. I stayed in that one a few years back and it was great. L-Shaped room so it had twice as long a balcony and it is far enough back that the Lanai is to its narrow point, so you will have privacy. No couch in the room though if that makes a difference

  6. Hey Guys,

I will be in Grand Cayman on June 6 on the Carnival Glory. I am a certified diver, but my girlfriend is not. I would like to book a discover SCUBA excursion for her that would allow me to dive with her during the instructor lead dive after the pool instruction (I have my own equipment, so would only need a tank rental). Do you guys know of a dive operation that will allow this?

    Thanks in advance!

  7. When I log in to Carnival.com - I see just my VIFP account #.

If I want to be able to see my spouse's / kids accounts and check if they have any special offers, do I need to setup separate accounts for them?

Or can they be merged so that we can see all offers for the family at one time?

you can also go to http://www.carnival.com/cruise-deals/vifp-club.aspx and check with their numbers in lieu of setting up accounts. Click lookup VIFP number and all it asks for is name and birthdate.

  8. On the Liberty a couple of years back I had just bought a bucket of beers minutes before they announced muster. They told me that I couldn't take them to my muster station or take them back to my cabin, so I asked if I would be refunded for having to give up what I had just paid for. They put me in the special needs muster and allowed me to take them with me there...

  9. for my GF, one year for her birthday I found a ship on a stick for the ship we were sailing on ebay. I printed the itinerary in very small font so that I could stick it to the bottom of the base, and gave it to her in the smallest box it could fit in. She had no idea while she was opening it, and it took her a few minutes to realize what was going on even after she opened it!

  10. My PVP told me that there were only a certain number of rooms that were set aside on each sailing for the free cruise offer. I wanted to upgrade from OV to balcony (it would have only been $80pp at the time of booking) but since all of the "free" cabins were already claimed, I would have had to pay full price to upgrade.

  11. I remember when, at dinner, they would pull your chair out for you and place your napkin in your lap. Not so much anymore, and not saying that I can't do it for myself, but it was one of those little things that made a cruise seem...special. From what I'm seeing here they are leaving water on the table rather than refilling the glasses for you...again, not something I can't do for myself, but kinda changes the dynamic of the evening. I still love to cruise and have a great time but it seems that lately something has been missing.

  12. I have been searching around the web and haven't been able to find anything on ATV rentals in Curacao. I have found lots of guided tours, but I really wanted to know if there is a good place to rent one for the day to go off on our own (I did this last year in st maarten). If anyone could help please let me know

  13. also i was told by a couple of bartenders that if i told them to charge me for a drink it would not go against my total, so if i was at drink 14 i could order as many as i wanted to by telling them to charge me for them, but as soon as i hit *free* drink number 15 i was cut off until the next day and could not buy any more

that being said...i only hit 15 one night out of a 7 day cruise
