  1. Friend and I are also booked through Pied Piper. We have met members of that group on other cruises but this is our first as part of the group, looks like fun. Surprised there are not more posts from the P.P. guys. I like gardening, old cars, and all aspects of wrestling. Belong to Global and M.F. wrestling groups. Friend likes movies, music, drama, trivia, all that cultural stuff.

  2. Cliff - Check the bar at the Atlantic Beach Hotel. Great setting, right on the beach, should be good for happy hour Sat. Don't know about the night. It gets very mixed reviews if you look at some gay sites. It has been there forever. The actual beach has had only a few guys when I've visited, usually windy and cool, but I like water temps above 80. /// Did you mean there is another thread on the GLBT forum (if so, what is it?) or were you talking about the one on the main forum?

SailAway - Plan to show - Tall and thin, glasses, probably not beads but some kind of neckwear, white shell maybe.

JC + Cliff - email is bobwrestles@hughes.net - if you want to meet for a drink or exchange more info, will not be checking often after we sail.

Everyone else - With all the views for this thread there must be more than three of us on board. Hope to see you at some of the scheduled gatherings.

  3. Well at least there are two of us. There are more single guys (and ladies) posted on the general site for the trip so most likely some are compatible. Want to meet for a drink the first or second day? My first time on Carnival, don't know if they schedule GBLT cocktail time gatherings, the other cruise lines I've taken do but usually not until the second day.

  4. Thanks Ryan, at last some knowledge of how things work. We got tangled up with a large wedding party group for two guys a few cruises back and had big fun. Here is a Plan A for the first night if anyone wants to meet up: 1.) Check the Bulletin Board and Daily Schedule and if meetings are listed, go. 2.) If those sources show nothing, gather in the Champagne Lounge at 5:00 p.m. 3.) If that is not possible, (Safety Drill, sail away, lounge closed, etc), forget it and wait til next night when meetings should show up on the Board and/or paper.

Best, and see you on board, Steel

  5. Sailing soon! Not a big crowd of gay guys showing themselves so far. Have not found where the FOD/GLBT meetings are held. One suggestion is to check the Community Bulletin Board which on other ships has been a chalk board located close to the Guest Services desk (where ship staff helps with problems). Sometimes this info is also in the daily information paper that everyone receives in their cabin each evening. Ships do not usually show this info for the first night. Would be great to meet for a drink on the first night but a little complicated with sailaway and safety drill and other parties. Last time i tried to get guys together in a bar that was closed for a private party. If anyone wants to meet the first night I'll just pick a bar... any suggestions? Time? Usually its 5:00 p.m. to include the early eaters but if all of us are dining at the late seating we can make it 7:00 p.m. Let me know. If the first night does not work, check the Bulletin Board or the daily paper or ask someone at guest services and we can hook up at the official location on the second night. Happy Sails to you! Bob
