  1. Rabbies Tours are very popular, and varied, but your time at South Queensferry may restrict your options with that company, as they tend to head out from Edinburgh quite early.

There are other private tour companies available, and they will flex to meet your needs. What is it that you want to see? Edinburgh, (in which case I would suggest that you just head into town and use the HOHO bus) , or do you wish to see some of the countryside, St Andrews, Stirling, Dunfermline.

There are a number of Private Tour offers on CruiseForth.com - some with insights into Andrews Carnegie, Outlander, Golf, or indeed a mixture of them all.

  2. At South Queensferry (for Edinburgh) there will be black taxi cabs waiting. The going rate for a 'tour' was £35 per hour last year, but if you pick one up at the head of the line, you take a chance of how knowledgable the driver happens to be. There are companies, that specialise - such as Edinburgh Cab Tours who may be worth pre- booking. It also depends on what you want to see. CruiseForth.com has a section on private tours, which may give you some ideas.
