  1. I booked a GTY veranda cabin on Equinox about 90 days out from the cruise. At the time of booking, no specific cabins were available for us to book. Within a week we were assigned a Deluxe Veranda within a few days of booking. We were pretty happy with the assignment given that the cabin has a slightly larger veranda.

  2. I'm curious how accurate the dining availability is on the website for specialty dining locations. We're sailing on the Equinox on April 1 and Murano is showing as only having availability at 8pm or 8:30pm on select nights. Does this availability seem accurate? I booked an 8pm time slot, but would very much like to dine earlier. What is the likelihood I'll be able to move this earlier once we get onboard?

  3. FWIW... Once I logged in and saw that we had the Classic Beverage package and Basic Internet package, I was presented with options to upgrade both packages on the website. I was able to upgrade to the Premium Drink package for $9.99/day.

    Answers to the best of my knowledge:

    1.  Log into your account on the Celebrity Web Site.  Select your cruise and go to "Plan My Cruise" (big blue box on the right hand side of the web page about half way down.  Click on your initials in the upper right hand corner and select "Order History".  You shoud show a $0.00 purchase of internet and classic drink package.

    2.  You must call or have your TA call Celebrity to upgrade.  It cannot be done via the Website normally.

    3.  Under Plan my Cruise, select Gifts and Gear.  There are some items there than can be pre-purchased.  Also have your TA make reservations for you at the specialty restaurant that you want on the date you want.  I have read where Celebrity has made an individualized birthday cake as well.  There are room decorations and such also available.  Make sure their room steward is aware of the birthday as well.  We've had ours present us with a complementary bottle of champagne. 

    4.  That depends.  Your best bet is to go to the dining room immediate after embarking and see the staff there and asked to be changed.  Sometimes they can accommodate but sometimes they cannot.  There are just too many variables to say for sure but the earlier you request it, the better chance you have.  In fact, I'd even recommend you have your TA start trying to get it changed now.

  5. I recently booked the April 1st, 10nt Southern Caribbean sailing on the Celebrity Equinox. This will be our second cruise, our first was an Alaskan cruise on HAL which we really enjoyed. I had a few questions I was hoping someone on here might be able to help with.

     

    1. When we booked with our TA, they indicated we'd receive the Classic Drink and Basic Internet packages (and it was included on our final invoice from the TA); however, I don't see this reflected on my account on the Celebrity website. Will it not be reflected on my online account or is it something that happens closer to our sail date?
    2. I'm interested in upgrading to the Premium Drink package, but when I login to my account on the website its not showing me this option. Is this something I have to purchase on the ship?
    3. We're planing to use this vacation to celebrate my mom's 65th birthday. Is there something special that I could do ahead of time to help celebrate? I thought about ordering a bottle of champagne for sail away or perhaps booking dinner at one of the specialty restaurants, but I'd love to hear other suggestions.
    4. We booked this cruise rather last minute and the only remaining dining time slot was the late seating (8:30pm). We were hoping to get this changed once on board. What is the likelihood that we will be able to get this changed?
