  1. I was on RCL Majesty last July; we docked at 8 or 9am (forget which) and I proceeded directly to the Aqua Adventure desk at Atlantis only to find they were already sold out of water park day passes for the day (and we got to the desk before it opened). I was traveling w/ my 8-year old son and we had been planning this day for months so needless to say he was heartbroken. We took a cab back to the ship and luckily we were able to purchase the same passes at the shore excursion desk. We cabbed it back to Atlantis and found some chairs by about 10:30. I was bummed that we had essentially wasted two hours of our precious time there (and believe me, time is money there!) but we still had an absolute blast and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Here it is 8 months later and we still talk about it. It was pretty crowded but I don't think we waited more than about 45 minutes in line for any of the slides (except for the one you access via the lazy river, early in the day).

I would absolutely want to go in the summer again. The ocean water is bath temperature, and the water in all of the slides and pools were perfect as well. I just got back from a Western Caribbean cruise and there is a huge difference in water temp between March and July!

fyi - we purchased food/drinks from the concession stands and all I was asked to present was a credit card - no other I.D. In fact, that was all I had on me when we bought food; passports, etc. were in the locker.

I was just there the beginning of March and you DO NEED ID to use your credit card, they have had alot of problems with fraud. Things have changed since last July. Please save your self the hassel and keep both with you at all times.

  2. Wow, thanks for the tip about Comfort Inn. I'll be in Nassau May 9th and their current rate is $279/night. Way less than what we'd be paying for 4 through NCL.

Now, is it easy to get a cab at the port? Are they lined up?

    Thanks,

Very easy to get a cab, they are waiting for you. We had a gentleman named Slim he was fantastic. He came back to Atlantis to return us to port, when we asked him to. Very nice and helpful with all of our stuff.:)

  3. We have been back for 2 week now and I'm still mad about our transportatin from Port Canaveral to MCO. I booked with Orlando Disney Limo, I booked a black van with a car seat for my family of 10. The time I asked to be picked up was 10:30am. Received a call as the ship began to disembark stating that if we were not ready to leave at 9:45 we would have to wait for the 11:45 shuttle. I thought I booked a private van because we took up the whole thing! I was called back by a terrible rude woman named Ciindy who said I did not book a private van but a shuttle! Then why was asked what time I wanted to be picked up, never was I told either 9:45 or 11:45. She then proceeded to yell at me and hang up on me. They kept calling my cell telling me Paul was on his way but wouldn't say when he'd be there. We stood out in the hot parking lot until almost noon. We were the last people waiting for a ride. They was no shelter, not the fault of Orlando-Disney Limo, of course but had it raining that would have been a nightmare. Best part is I called to confirm everything before we left for the cruise and was told we were "all set". I also was charged in full the day I booked our ride. Horrible customer service, they speak very little English, and I got yelled at and hung up on! Never book with these people!!:mad::mad::mad:

The last phone I got from cindy stated that the van on its way did not have a car seat, we had no choice but to take it anyways we would have missed our flight. Luckily when he arrived it did have the car seat!

  4. Thanks for the info we jus booked our hotel at comfort inn to save money for our day in Atlantis,, NOW ANY ONE HAVE ANY ADVISE TO SAVE ON THE ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE DAY IN ORLANDO I FIND IT CRAZIE THAT IS 169 if u book thru cruis line but it's only 70 to get a day pass into the park ??? Help??

I'm traveling with my family n friends so there is 7 of so at 170 a person that's gonna b one expensive day Lola so any advise helps

Probably not going to find cheaper than through Universal. Not usually a discount for a 1 day pass. I would be wary of any "discount" theme park ticket sites. 70 pp isn't so bad, as long as you have the full day there. I would never book through the ship for that. Happy Cruising!:)

  5. So......did you have to pay the extra fees of $18.00 pp if more than 2 persons and the extra housekeeping fees of $5.00 pp ? Someone said in their post that they checked in & out at the same time to avoid having to pay those fees but I am not sure how you can still get the Atlantis wristbands if you're already checked out?? Very confusing? Also, since you were just there last week, can you tell me how the spring break crowd was? Was it crazy overcrowded? We'll be there in 2 weeks so I am interested to know what it was like! Thanks !

We did not pay any extra fees. I was charged exactly what my confirmation stated. It was not at all crowded while we were there. I assume crowds levels will increase as Spring Break starts. It really isn't confusing it just seems to be too easy! Book online, take a cab to Atlantis, check in at Comfort Suites, walk over to Atlantis, find Aquaventure desk get wristbands for the people listed on your card and find your lounge chairs. You will get towels there, and you can rent lockers there also. You can only pay by credit card for food and drinks, make sure you also have your ID with you. They will ask for ID for ALL purchases.

  6. Did you book through their website or call the hotel directly? Did you ask for a day room or just a room for a night? And did you book for the day of arrival or the night before? I would really appreciate any info you can give me on the procedure you went through to do this! Thanks!

I booked online, reserved with a credit card, it was not charged until we checked in. When we arrived at Comfort Suites, we told them we aren't actually using the room and they said we would automatically be check out in the AM. I booked for the day we arrived in Nassau, it says check in isn't until 3 but they give you everything you need to get into Atlantis right away. We got off the ship about 8:30 and to our lounge chairs by 9:30. :)

  7. I was very nervous about how this would work out and it could not have been better. I would never pay what the cruiseline asks, especially since you have to gather at the port, wait for a bus, get dropped off at the furthest entrance and walked through with a tour. By the time you get to the waterpark area you have already wasted a good part of your day. We had great lounge chairs by 9:30am. Slides opened at 10:00. Perfect!

  8. We booked through Comfort Suites for $235. That includes 4 bracelets to enter Atlantis. Because we checked in and out at the same time we did not have to pay the housekeeping fee and what not. Flat rate of $235, I know the rate depends on your time of year but it is WAY cheaper than booking through the cruiseline. Our cab driver was more reliable than the car service I paid to pick us up at Port Canaveral. BTW, you have to have your license as well as your credit card to purchase food or drinks. They will ask for ID with all purchases!

Sounds like some people on CC work for the cruiseline!

  9. We were there last week, here's what we did: Booked a room at Comfort Suites on Atlantis property, we took a cab $4 pp and $2 toll over to Comfort checked -in received our cards walked over to Royal Towers got in Aquaventures line got bracelets and went to the waterpark. We walked around the dig, an aquarium, walked around the Hotel a bit. Super Easy!

Our Cab driver's name was "Slim" he gave us a card and came back at 4:00 like we asked.
