Thank you so much for the picture, it looks awesome!!  I'm assuming you hired a driver for just the 4 of you?  I'm wondering if that would be a better choice for us.  How long were you at the Manawakie park?  How long are the rum and chocolate tours?  Jest trying to get an idea of time needed.

We were at Manawakie maybe An hour. It is a small park but we took our time and took tons of pictures. The chocolate place 10 minutes and the rum distillery maybe 20 minutes. We ziplined also and that was about an hour. For the 4 of us it was $25.00 a piece and that was for an long as we wanted the driver.  You pay for Manawakie Park and ziplining separate. We also gave the driver a tip. We met the driver around 9 and were back to the pier by 1.

  2. We booked our tour for feb. 13th about a month prior through Rony’s tours. I told him what we wanted to do and asked for recommendations for seeing sloths and ziplining. He replied within a few hours and sent me the info on where to meet the driver.

Once we got off the ship we followed the directions to where the driver would be. He was there holding a Rony’s tours sign. We had about a 2 minute walk to the car. Once at the car we discussed what we wanted to do for the day and we decided to start at Manawakie Park and then do the chocolate tour and the rum tour.

Once we arrived at Manawakie Park we paid the entrance fee and the Manager William Brown took us on our tour. It was about 9:30am and we were the only people there. The park is small but it is so worth it to visit and hold the monkeys, sloths, and birds. He let us take our time and take as many pictures as we wanted. The animals are rescues and are well taken care of and loved. It was the highlight of our trip.

After we left the park we went to the chocolate tour and rum tour. Both are basically just stores with tastings but both are very good. There is an awesome spot to take photos behind the rum distillery.

After that we asked the driver to recommend a place to zipline and he told us about 2 different places. We picked the one near the port because it also has animals at it. The kids loved the ziplining. The animals they had were nice also but we prefered Manawakie because they care so much about the animals.

I am so glad we decided to use Rony’s. We could personalize the tour to suit our needs. Also it may take a few days to get a reply from the company since internet on the island is spotty. We had a great time and would recommend both Rony’s and Manawakie Park.

  3. We just did  a tour through Rony’s tours this past week. They will take you wherever you want to go. We wanted to do the Manawakie tour and chocolate store and rum distillery. The driver took us wherever we wanted. Then we decided to zipline and he recomended a place.

Do the  Manawakie tour. The animals are well taken care of. It is a very small park but they take time to personally walk you through it and give you as much time as you want with each animal. It was the highlight of our cruise. The one sloth just had a baby. It was so cute!

  4. I just used them this week when we were in Roatan. I had emailed him about a month ago and set everything up. We met the driver right where they told us to and we had about a 2 minute walk to the car. We visited Manawakie Park and it was awesome to hold the sloths and monkeys. We also stopped at the chocolate store and the rum distillery. They we decided to do ziplining and the driver recommended a place he though the kids would like. We had a great day and I was so glad we decided to use Rony’s tours.

  5. We got in the self debarkation line about 7:00 and we were on the road by 7:45. The key is to get there early. I would rather self debark any day than the nightmare of carnivals debarkation!

The marathon traffic coming in was horrible. Took us 2 hours from the tunnel.

It was our second time on the ship and I think the food was better this time. We left our kids at home with the grandparents and got a spa room. Well worth the money to be able to use the thermal spa everyday.

  6. I was on the last cruise and you can still order any drink up to $11.00. I only had one problem ordering a drink the entire week and that was because that bar was out of Piña colada mix at the moment I asked for one. I ordered with my free drink package, wine, rum and coke(Pepsi), piña colada, Miami vice, maritini's, desarono, and lots of other frozen and mixed drinks. My husband and I are normally not big drinkers but we managed to drink 75 drinks on the cruise. I kept all the slips to see if the next cruise if it would be worth it for us to get the drink package. Our total was 657.59 for 75 drinks. That was averaging 5 a day each which really is not a lot. One during the day. One before dinner. One with dinner. 2 after dinner. We usually gave a $1.00 cash tip with each drink. The bartenders were always near then. I watched many bartenders on this cruise and believe me kindness and tips matter. I saw one guy tapping the bar for the waiter and the bartender came over and said he had to wait like everyone else and if he kept tapping there would be no drinks for him.

Also if you see a drink they are making for someone else they will tell you what it is and what is in it. I ordered lots of drinks that way.

This is just what we experienced on the cruise. There are so many bars we never had a problem finding drinks.
