  1. Hi!

Not trying to be combative, but honestly wondering what I am missing? When I try to book the sea lion encounter directly through the company it is over a 63 dollar (USD) saving? Does anyone know if the cruise line tour includes lunch or some special benefits besides the direct transfer (and not having to go the Harbour?) Thanks!

  2. We were on the Indy 2 weeks ago and when I asked about the toy bags to borrow the worker laughed in my face and said they didn't do that. Yikes. So I'm unsure if I just caught her on a bad day or if it's ship dependent? The nursery on the Indy was tiny. SO.SMALL! And I can't say the worker I dealt with was super nice. She was almost hateful. We did the Anthem in Sept. and those workers were awesome. I think it just depends on who is there during your cruise. Also, the Anthem had a huge 2 story play room which was amazing, so I think some ships are more "kid friendly" than others.

  3. Oh my word. That's horrible about the guitar player! We just got off the Indy 2 weeks ago and I know exactly what you are speaking of on the stage. It goes up and down for Grease. Yikes! Prayers he is recovering. Our experience on Indy was similar to yours, except we had free lobster on the 4th night (not Formal night) and getting off the ship was a tad easier for us. We were Green Group 9 and we qued up around 930AM on deck 4 (I believe) and just waited, but it moved pretty quickly. There were also RC staff there directing line breakers, which was nice! Now the que in Customs was a mess, but we hired a porter and she took us through a quicker line (highly recommend hiring a porter in FL), so we missed that que. That ice show was awesome! Especially the tricks at the end! And we loved Grease too. We only made it till the 1 hr mark, but we enjoyed it!

  4. We have taken my newly turned 3 year old on 3 different cruises (all over 5 days each). She can't use the potty completley unaided, so we haven't used the kids club except during open play times. She will however sit for dinner as long as she has toys/crayons or an ipad. Wouldn't worry about that as much as working on PT if you want them to go to AO. We managed without it, but would have been nice if she could have gone on this last trip. Any other questions about cruising with toddlers, I'd be glad to help ya!

  5. Thank you for the response!!! :-) I actually read her whole trip report shortly after posting this and she had some great info!!!! and yes, her daughter is around our kiddos ages (give or take), and it looks like a great option! Is Senor Frogs next to it open or closed? maybe I should look that up myself, ha! going now

  6. Is there maybe a good "kid-friendly" beach that would appeal to kiddos ages 3-5 and 5 adults? The waterpark looks a little expensive for our group since we can't use all the facilities, and we live near the beach so we go often.....Any other suggestions or a kid-friendly beach that's easy to get to from the port? Thanks so much!

  7. Thank you so much for your quick response Carol!

I do not have it in writing. Only a verbal. She did say it was first come first serve as to the sign up when you check-in. We could not go ahead and pay and reserve today, which is bothersome. I'm hoping someone who may have done it recently without the package may speak up and let me know how it went. *fingers crossed*

Would you suggest taking a cab to go to the nearest store to buy some wine? Where would that be/how far would we have to go?

Really appreciate your response, as I know these questions are asked repetitively .

  8. CAPE LIBERTY QUESTIONS>>>>>

I want to apologize, as I am sure these questions have been asked ad nauseaum, yet after spending many days scouring the threads, I could not find all the answers in one spot, so I'm hopeful this thread will help future Anthem cruisers. We are traveling with 9 people total (3 of which are under 5) in Sept. aboard the Anthem.

    1. The Embassy Suites offers a $20/pp shuttle ride to the port at designated times. Is this the cheapest way to get to the port for 9 people and luggage? Would an independent car service be cheaper? If so, which service? Do any not charge for small children?

    2. Is there anywhere within walking distance of the hotel in which we could procure our allotted amount of wine we may take on board? We will not have a car as we will be flying into Newark and using the hotel shuttle to the hotel. Also, dining options around the Embassy Suites?

    3. Best way to get back to the Newark airport AFTER said cruise for 9 people and luggage? Would prefer a reservation for a car service.

Any other information I need to know about Cape Liberty. We are experienced cruisers, but this is our first cruise to Bermuda and we are excited. Thank you!
