Ask John Heald on social media. He has shared recipes in the past!
Hi. Yes, that was the first thing I tried, but no response yet. So thought I would branch out to other sites to see if anyone knew.

Anyone have the recipe for Corn Chili Quinoa Baked Tomato w/cheese sauce from Carnival Cruise lines? I just had it on the Vista and cannot find it anywhere

I have looked everywhere for this recipe, but cannot locate it. Anyone else find it?

I am getting married on the Magic on April 15, 2012. Last Sunday we did a tour of the ship and we were able to see the room(s) where they do the actual wedding. It is like a conference room in a hotel--very plain. There are simply two white columns with white flower arrangements on them in the front of the room. Vibe is very nice for the reception room as is the piano bar. I would suggest contacting your Carnival wedding planner to arrange a tour. It was very helpful for me to actually get to see where everything is. There were two weddings the day we toured so we were able to get the general idea of the set up.
OMG! Do you have anyone going with you on that cruise from Katy? I live in Katy and I'm trying to find somone I can give money to buy a jacket from the candy store on the ship. My daugher bought one on our last cruise and recently lost it. I figured with you getting married you would have your hands full, but maybe a friend from Katy travelling too??? I've posted a thread about it, but haven't found anyone from Katy just yet.

I actually have a Carnival Cookbook at home we received at the Chef's Table, I'll see if it is in there and let you know.
Thank you so much! It looked like the same gravy that my husband had on a couple of his meats, too. Can you see if these 2 others are in your cookbook as well? I have not been able to find them online, well, I've found plenty online, but not Carnival's recipe...Bolognese sauce(this was in the Pasta Bar), Beef au jus(that was served on the Prime Rib, but looks the same as the gravy I'm looking for).

So, back to my original post...I'm guessing no one has the recipe for how they cooked it or the gravy? I know sometimes on these boards, people will list Carnival's recipes for some of the items that were served on their ships.

I agree with you. I loved it. Had it 4 of my 8 nights. To me, the other steaks and prime rib I ordered had too much fat in them.
I was just trying to see if anyone out there actually had Carnival's recipe for how they made this. Found plenty of others online, just not Carnival's.
I just returned from the Magic (12/11). Had the flat iron steak 4 of 7 nights...very good steak, good flavor, tender enough (depending on how one orders it), usually order a baked potato to go with it.The MDR isn't a 5 star resturant and if one approaches the food quality as well as the service knowing this going in, then one shouldn't be disappointed. I for one enjoyed the food, the service, as well as the atmosphere.
Beats the HELL out of Burger King.

Okay, just got back today on the Carnival Magic, and had a blast!! I loved the Flat Iron Steak AND the gravy that came on it. Anyone know how they cooked it, or have the recipe. I have been looking online for an hour with no luck.
