  1. Your Panera bread must be really different than mine... There is nothing wrong with "getting your dad on one." He just might take the initiative himself. If those other guys would try it they would be doing those all the time. Honestly, often a single over 50 person on a regular cruise is just out of place. People may be too polite to let them know it, but generally things are done as couples or families. A single over 50 cruise certainly does not mean you are looking for love or even a partner. But, to me, it is assurance that you are not a burden or interfering or imposing on other people who want to be with their families and partners. It's simply a lot of other people in your age proximity to a certain extent, who want to continue vacations even though they are not a couple. It is a great idea. I encourage you to "get him on one." That's what my daughter did for me. It was a true gift. I now have a small group of people I travel with and visit and it is awesome.:)I know this is a very late post, but someone might benefit anyway. Thank you.

I know that Dad is prabably not doing as well as you would like but guys sometimes need to do this on there own. Don't know where you are located, but if there is a Panera restaurant near by suggest that he go there for brakfast coffee and a bagel. Many good looking 55 plus ladies frequent my local Panera and I would imagine it is the same all over. Also a good crowd of other old guys so there are all sorts of friendly groups hanging out on any given day.
