  1. I would have a couple questions about Mr Sanchos if someone could help. 1) Our group will have some teens and young teens, Is Mr Sanchos good for them? 2) Also does anyone know if they use filtered water for the ice and drinks? Have always been told to look out for Montezuma's Revenge and only drink pre-packaged while in Mexico,

  2. What day in May will you be there?

RCL Liberty 5/26.....After seeing your signature it looks like we will all be there at the same time. Have you been to this port before? Just looking for any advise. Costa Maya is a new one for us.

I'm assuming your group isn't looking for an AI at $45-$55 pp.

In Cozumel, BTW, there are better "Fun" places than Sr. Frogs.

Yep, not really looking for the AI. We feel maybe less crowded and really like the things we have read about Steve and Tropicate. Also like he is from the States. Just looking for a place we can all chill, spend some time and let the kids play in the water.

Cozumel--What would you recommend? DW and I have been there a few times and have done the tours and going into town for the shopping so kinda looking for something different. Probably not going to disembark very early so don't need anything that takes up all day.

  4. Hey all!! We are going to to be in Costa Maya for the first time in May. Our group consists of 30 people from 65-15yrs. I have read many good things about Steve and his Tropicante beach. Can anyone give their opinion as to if Steve can handle arrangements for that large of group? We are in port from 8-5 that day so what would be your opinion on the length of time before some of the group might get bored?

We are thinking of making this port our "Group Fun Time". In Roatan it will be Bodden Tours and in Cozumel that will be play time. Probably Senior Frogs!!!LOL.

    Thanks in Advance

    Mike

  5. EllALL Bee, Don't just stay on ship.....we were in Costa Maya a year or so ago and take the 5 minute ride to town, nice boardwalk with small shops, resturants, bars free wifi, and you can see beach and water if you are not wanting a beach day, but the boardwalk is nice to stroll, look and enjoy

To those who have went into town to the boardwalk I have a couple questions:1) Is there usually a fair amount of folks from the ship there and did you feel like this was a safe place to be? 2) How did you arrange transportation to get there? 3) From how your posts read this seems to remind me of Cozumel when you take a taxi up to that boardwalk, correct? 4) As for money American dollars or plastic or what?

We will be in Costa Maya in May for our first time. Not much offered on the RC site that interested us.

    Thanks

  6. The wife had the Ultimate, I had the Premium. We never ran into a situation of ordering drinks at a higher cost than the pkg would cover. We ordered top shelf for everything as well. Patron, Gentleman Jack, Titos, Grey Goose,

You'll need to do the math for your level of drinking. Figure $12/drink, add bottled water @ $4 ea.

Goodtime Thanks for taking the time to start this thread, it has been very informative. We are sailing in May and have not been on RC for a couple years. My question is on the new drink pricing, I do believe that you provided the answer above but want to make sure. I will have Gentleman Jack and the wife will have Goose and we continue to look at the drink packages. By your earlier post these two mixed drinks are going to be $12 now? If so the Premium package is a sure bet. Guess that shows how long it has been for us, last cruise they were $8.

    Thanks Mike

  7. So we just booked Liberty of the Seas for May 22,2016. I have been thru this entire post. Our last cruise was in 2014 so everyone's posts on the drink prices have been very informative, I did not know about the price increases. I do believe that based on the premise of 5 drinks a day to equal the cost of the Premium package, my DW and myself will be better off or at least break even by purchasing the package.

That being said I do have a couple questions for anyone who has the info as we have never used the drink package option before.

    1) When you purchase the package, you just show them your SeaPass card when ordering a drink and that is it?

    2) The Gratuity is included also? So there is nothing out of pocket after purchasing the package?
