  1. Interesting...I did not see it listed when I was shopping for beach break on RCL website. Maybe because RCL is offering Jewel Bay package instead?? I am thinking either Hilton or Royalton for my trip in August.

They were offering both excursions at the time when we had signed up for Rose Hall and they cancelled.

  2. We have taken the ship's excursion. They took us to the park in taxis. There are chairs on the beach where you can see the snorkelers and there are thatched roofs over the chairs, if you want some shade. Sometimes the chairs are full and then a group gets up and goes to the Sea Lion Show and other places to see and you can sit down. You don't have to go with the group once you are there. You can go to the beach. Just know when and where to meet back up with them to go back to the ship. They have taxis there to take you at the specified time.

    How's the beach?

  3. Does anyone know why there is a height restriction for the Playa Mia Beach Break shore excursion on Royal Caribbean? The excursion with the buffet does not have the same restriction.

Also, does anyone have feedback on this shore excursion?

Very easy to get to the washroom. It is only 30 feet or so from the bar. There was a woman and her elderly mother on our excursion and both seemed to have enjoyed the tour immensely.

I understand that it is a "pit toilet," but can anyone please elaborate on the facilities? Are there toilet seats? Does anyone know if there are plans to build a restroom/shower building? We are thinking of bringing young children with us, so we want to have as much as information as possible.

  5. We were on the same cruise. We noticed there were a lot of large groups. There was also a quinceanera group of 100, which may have contributed to the lines you experienced. We didn't go to the flowrider except to take photos a couple times and didn't try ice skating, so I can't comment on that experience. We noticed large crowds everywhere the first day, but after that, the crowd dispersed nicely for the week. The Royal Promenade was always crowded, especially during sales and on the first day, which was to be expected. There were times when we waited a long time to get an elevator before or after a show or dinner. I'm not sure how much the rescheduled Oasis of Dreams shows impacted the crowd, but I imagine it would have caused more people to be in the other areas during the canceled shows. The beach pool was nice in the morning and tended to get very crowded in the late afternoon on sea days, but that's expected. The dining rooms are set up for dynamic dining and do feel smaller and more cramped, but they aren't built for traditional dining.

  6. I have been searching posts here and have learned that there are 3 free soft ice cream machines operating from 11:30 to 6 at the pool, Wipe Out, and H2O Zone.

Is the soft serve ice cream or yogurt? This ice cream loving family also needs to know where we can get FREE ice cream during the day.

  7. Hi! My family and I will be on the Oasis starting July 11. Can't wait! I have a couple questions if someone can help me:

    1. My children are 8 and 10. If they wanted to be in the same group in the Adventure Club, is this allowed? I would probably prefer the 8 year old join his sister in the older group.

    2. Does the Ultimate Beverage package include drinks from Starbucks? What doesn't it include?

    Thank you!

We're on the same cruise. We can't wait either!
