We have transfers with p&o as mentioned above
-
Boarding is at white bay, I wouldn't have thought it would take any more than an hour to get to the terminal

Hi all,
Hubby and I are sailing on the Jewel on Monday afternoon. Our plane arrives in Sydney about 10.30am and we have arranged transfers with P&O. According to the e-tickets boarding is between 1-3, I'm wondering if they actually board earlier than that - I've seen reports of from 11.30am. 1pm seems so late, particularly if we have to sit around at the terminal - and from what I've read there's nothing at the terminal to keep you occupied for 2 hours or more??
Any ideas appreciated.

Great to hear you're having a nice time! How did you go with your pedometer?
-
We're booked on her on Mar 10 and I'm nervous as well. I think the best thing to do is to go in with an open mind and try not to stress.

My parents are cruising to nz at the moment and they have terrible weather, missed the sounds today and been overcast and rain since they left Melbourne on Tuesday

Hubby and I will be onboard Pacific Jewel on March 10 4 nights sydney to sydney via Moreton Island

I somehow doubt his behaviour was regularly to beat up passengers for no reason at all from his side.
Regular or not there's no excuse for rape and attempted murder no matter the alleged offence of the poor woman
-
It's not even a matter of not being rude, the guy only thought he heard something through a closed door - more than likely just an excuse for his behaviour. You can't let potential psychos put you off living your life.
-
Interesting stats, thanks for that!

There's nothing really in particular I think the outside looks quite old fashioned to me. But it's not really aimed at my age group though. I'm sure the inside is very nice. It's probably bigger than I like as well. Different boats for different folk as they say!

I must be the only one who doesn't see the appeal in this ship

Did you do a review Megsie I'm interested to hear more about your cruise and tours etc?
-
I personally hope not, hand helds are a pain IMHO

We're due to sail on the Jewel for the first time next month and I'm looking forward to it. Yes some of the reviews are woeful, but you will find that with most lines - people just like to complain!
We're planing on going to Salt for lunch, it's cheaper during lunch and for the same menu as dinner time. I would have like to try Luna, but being pregnant there looked to be a lot of seafood which I'm not meant to overindulge in. I think it's a small price to pay for the experience compared to going to their restraunts on land.

Yep they sure do, well at least in 2012 they did when we cruised princess. If you give them a call they should be able to get it sorted, i organised ours through a TA as well as flights, would never get flights with them again I don't think - but no issue with transfers.

Hi Jacs - yep for sure! It will probably limit what I can have, but I find that while eating anywhere now :)
-
Thanks everyone for your replies.
My morning sickness has been very manageable at this stage, I get tired more than anything else.
I went with a balcony so I'm hoping access to fresh air will help any issues.
Yep by 12-13 weeks an ectopic would have been discovered, I'm booked in for a scan the week before we go.

As the title suggests I'm currently expecting. I've just booked a four night cruise on P&O to Moreton Island (not thrilled to be cruising P&O but it was the only one sailing during our week off) on March 10. At the time of the cruise I will be about 12 weeks and a bit anxious about cruising while pregnant. Has anyone cruised while pregnant, anything to watch for?

I've just booked on this cruise leaving March 10, looking forward to it!

Hide away is nice, but there's better snorkelling to be had. Jump on board a snorkel charter much better value. The only thing I liked about hide away was the under water post office :)
Cascades were gorgeous, that's probably my favourite. If you go into town there is a free boat over to Irriricki if that floats your boat, no point snorkelling there though.

Has anyone got any experiences with cruising NZ in May..other than it will likely be cold?
-
Yes thank you we figured it would be cold.

Hi all,
My husband and I are looking at a Princess cruise in May 2014 sailing 13 nights visiting new zealand. Has anyone got any pros or cons for cruising NZ at that time of year? We're looking for a budget cruise but hubby won't compromise on having a balcony :mad::rolleyes:
TIA

Umm it's a domestic flight, no customs/immigrations. Simply hop off and grab bag off carousel. All good, I think it would be 60 mins max
