  1. Hi all,

Hubby and I are sailing on the Jewel on Monday afternoon. Our plane arrives in Sydney about 10.30am and we have arranged transfers with P&O. According to the e-tickets boarding is between 1-3, I'm wondering if they actually board earlier than that - I've seen reports of from 11.30am. 1pm seems so late, particularly if we have to sit around at the terminal - and from what I've read there's nothing at the terminal to keep you occupied for 2 hours or more??

    Any ideas appreciated.

  2. We're due to sail on the Jewel for the first time next month and I'm looking forward to it. Yes some of the reviews are woeful, but you will find that with most lines - people just like to complain!

We're planing on going to Salt for lunch, it's cheaper during lunch and for the same menu as dinner time. I would have like to try Luna, but being pregnant there looked to be a lot of seafood which I'm not meant to overindulge in. I think it's a small price to pay for the experience compared to going to their restraunts on land.

  3. Thanks everyone for your replies.

My morning sickness has been very manageable at this stage, I get tired more than anything else.

I went with a balcony so I'm hoping access to fresh air will help any issues.

Yep by 12-13 weeks an ectopic would have been discovered, I'm booked in for a scan the week before we go.

  4. As the title suggests I'm currently expecting. I've just booked a four night cruise on P&O to Moreton Island (not thrilled to be cruising P&O but it was the only one sailing during our week off) on March 10. At the time of the cruise I will be about 12 weeks and a bit anxious about cruising while pregnant. Has anyone cruised while pregnant, anything to watch for?

  5. Hide away is nice, but there's better snorkelling to be had. Jump on board a snorkel charter much better value. The only thing I liked about hide away was the under water post office :)

Cascades were gorgeous, that's probably my favourite. If you go into town there is a free boat over to Irriricki if that floats your boat, no point snorkelling there though.

  6. Hi all,

My husband and I are looking at a Princess cruise in May 2014 sailing 13 nights visiting new zealand. Has anyone got any pros or cons for cruising NZ at that time of year? We're looking for a budget cruise but hubby won't compromise on having a balcony :mad::rolleyes:

    TIA
