Still room to book a cabin on that cruise. google the company that is chartering the cruise for full details. 100 % adult cruise mostly men a few women very party orinentated with all night dance parties on the after pool deck. Not for the faint of heart or consertives such as Rick Santorim!!

Iwing69 If you are looking for late night fun look for specitaly cruises (Music cruises disco dance cruises, any party oriented cruise. I go on Alantis gay cruises. they have a dance party that is held on the open pool deck with special lighting and concert sound. party starts at 11.00 P.M. and ends at sunrise. is that late enough for you?

I like breakfast in the main dining room are they serving breakfast there on port days or they using the Pinnicale resturant for breakfast. I dont like the buffet option. thank you for your help and enjoy your Mexico cruise.Norman

Glad your back is getting better. Looking forward to your review as I am getting on board the day you get off the ship. My cruise is a full ship adult only charter with a much younger crowd than usually sails HAL. This will be a party all night crowd.

To Whatevergoes. Anytime a ship goes into the yard, many jobs are done in the engineroom that can not be done at sea or during the short times the ship is in port.I know this from experience-- I sailed on ocean going tankers as 3 rd engineer for 25 years. Anytime many repairs are done, there is always a chance of poor workmanship that could cause a malfunction. I have never been in the yard that Summit is going in, so I don't know how good they are. The ship is 15 years old with high mileage. so anything can happen. Just like a car with 300,000 miles on it. things can happen.From my experience it usually takes a few days steaming to be sure there are no "Bugs" to iron out.

I will be on the Summit right after the drydock 3/12. full ship charter. I am in an oceanview cabin on 2 deck so will not know about suite improvments. I just hope that any engine room problems have been fixed right. dont want any problems on this cruise. I presume that Summit is docking in Freeport. Dont know about this shipyard (quality of work) so I guess well just see.

Loubetti: if that was S.S.U.S instead of Anthem she would have just got up to 36 knots and blasted her way right through it. BTW been on Regal Empress 5 times on all full ship charters.Very wild cruises.

hvsteve1-- Charter after drydock will be an Atlantis all Gay charter. Ill be going on it. Our cruise will make even Carnival cruise line look like a sunday school convention.

Does anybody know where Summit is going to drydock? My guess is Freeport. Im sailing on the first trip after drydock. Not a good choice but the charter I want to go on is that trip.

Ive sailed on several full ship charters.(Atlantis) on all of these charters there were NO availible booze packages. soda and water yes, but no booze. ask X wethather booze packages will be availble on your sailing, if it is a full ship charter. Enjoy your cruise.

If you are serious about late nightlife ( dance parties) look for full ship charters catering to younger crowds. there are several music themed full ship charters sailing out of southern Florida ports, but not on X. A few google searches should bring them up. I go on Atlantis charter, they are 7 day trips out of Ft. Lauderdale or San Jaun. 5 themed night dances that start at 11.00 P.M. and go to 6.00 A.M.Also 5 afternoon themed dances on the pool deck the entire open pool deck is coverted to a outdoor dicso with high power sound system and spectauler laser light show. Fun Fun!!!

Capt. Kate will be on vacation in Feb. The new Master of Summit will be Alexandros Papadopoulos, recently promoted from Staff Captain. He will make an excellent Master!!

Yes it is an Atlantis full ship charter.I was on the Allure Of The Seas when Atlantis did a charter on her in 2011. Near the end of the week a bartender told me that they sold more alcohol in one day on that cruise than an entire week on a regular cruise.:)

At least you guys have the option to buy the drink pakage. On my upcoming Sillie sailing (Feb 1 ) alcohol packages are not availible at all. I guess that since we are heavy drinkers, X would loose money on the deal.

Brand X is just too cheap to put ship in yard to fix problem when it first appeared. cheaper just to put out 100. OBC and brush it off.Problem is a bad bearing that limits speed on one propeller. if problem gets worse, it is possible to loose use of that propeller completly . X is just rolling the dice and hoping problem doesnt get worse until ship goes into drydock in Jan.

On the Silly Feb 1 sailing there will defenitally have a white party. It will be the biggest party of the weeklong cruise. Will start at 11 PM and last till brekafast the next morning.Very outrageous costumes will be worn.

Azipod bearing problem limits speed to 17 knots. Ship due to go to drydock in early January.

We just booked the same cruise. We are going to roll with it and hope for the best. Hopefully we can meet a few folks from on here and compare notes through the cruise... :)

If just to fix azipod no problem, if major shipyard visit, I would want to wait a couple of trips to make sure all "bugs" are ironed out. This comes from 25 years working on large ships.

Does anybody know when in Jan. the drydock period will be? This is what happens when one tries to be fancy (azipods). Regular shafting to propellors has served well since the 1870s Yet some folks cant leave well enough alone.
