We just completed Mediterranean Odyssey on Viking Star, March 11-23, Barcelona to Venice. The weather was perfect 65-72 everyday but the last in Venice. In Venice it was overcast and misty.

All the tour guides told our groups that we were lucky to come when we did.........that by the end of March the crowds would double. We loved having the elbow room in all of our ports, although they were quite busy!

We just completed Mediterranean Odyssey a week ago. Stateroom robes were for sale at the end of our trip for $79.

We end our Med. Odyssey trip in Venice. We would love to travel to the Venetian Islands of Murano and Burano (scheduled for 12:30-7:30 PM) BUT, we also would like to do the Evening Gondola Ride in Venice (scheduled 7:00 PM-9:30).

The end of the Islands tour drops us at St. Mark's Square.........I am presuming the Gondola Ride starts at 7:00 at the Viking Star and travels to St. Mark's Square for a walk to the Gondola boarding area.

My question is............can we do both if we schedule them.......both are extra payment tours!!!

We are traveling from Chicago USA to go on a Mediterranean Cruise in March. The cruise is 13 days. Are we crazy to consider using only carry on bags as our luggage for the trip?
