we used Paschals last April and would like to use him again,he was amazing...we have around 14 going in our group and I tries his web site but can't seem to get through is it still paschalstours@hotmail.com? That is not a valid email...that was what was on his card....do you happen to know (besides calling him) I tried calling, and that was a joke as his girlfriend speaks very broken English...lol

WOW I just today found your group....We have been cruising for years and we live on the OBX in Kill Devil Hills....OUR OBX cruise group is booked on Carnival Liberty April 26.2014 ....when do y'all sail next?

We are as excited for this cruise as we were our very first cruise!!! We have rented a Cabana while on Half Moon Cay,the other couple that is going with us also works with us at Food Lion......Stop in the store sometime my DH is the Grocery Manager and I am DSD Rec. (check in Vendors) Christi works in HBC (Home Beauty Prouducts) her DH Brent works for NC DOT Ferry Dock in Manns Harbour and fills in at Food Lion with the stock crew on Truck Nights......We are at Store # 2503 South Nags Head ...your "last Stop To Shop" before Avon....lol....Kathi

We also had one on the Breeze last April and yes I agree Carnival did loose money on ours too...Not from me as I was running around giving out Cabin Door Sign Contest winners their gifts...but I did see quite a few people bellyed up to the bar for the whole time...lol

But I would do it again....

We cruise every year (In April) and only one.......I am retired and no I could never go on a cruise with the money I get from SS so we put our megger down payment and pay on the cruise all year....I too wonder how all the others can do so many cruises but maybe they are the 3 and 4 day trips ( well I find these to just wet my apptite lol ) we also do Balcony"s because we love them....we did one inside and never did another....only because we like the open view of the balcony, and it is so much fun watching the late runners to the ships sailing in the ports....

We are very middle class, and I don't really care what people think about why we chose to Cruise...we have traveled cross country for years and camped and did the Hotel thing ,rented House Boats on Lake Shasta....at our age now we find cruising the best form of relaxation that you will ever find......with HBP, and also being a care giver to our 42 year old Son who had a TBI when he was 16..... we need the stress free feeling we get from a Cruise..... Our Son also goes along that is another reason we love the Cabin Space of the Balcony Cabins... Keep your opinions coming I truly love reading them...Going on a Cruise In April2014 and plan another in 2015.......Kathi

That is a super idea for the newbies to cruising to start saving for the next one....as we all know once you go on a cruise you are hooked !!!! Well we were this will be our 10 cruise, and each and every cruise is like the first!!!!

We are booked for April 2014...April 2015...with our Buddy Bear Bunch...we have so much fun ...we have a Putt Putt Tourny (bragging rights only and children are invited)...Scavenger Hunt....Slot Pull....and a Cabin Door Sign Contest.....Come join our Bunch in 2015.....April 25,2015 Liberty out of Port Canaveral 8 day...Eastern Caribbean.... Grand Turk...St Thomas...St Marrten and Tortola.....We have the best time....Just a thought!!!

I agree 100% with you SeagoingMom......When we have friends ask about how much it cost's to cruise I usually give them a ball park (inside cabin) length of cruise and gov.fees and taxs......then if they are serious I help break it down for them......then give them my TA's number!!!!! lol and let her do the walking!!!!

We also love to cruise and I really don't care what people think.... as for a fact, I know what a land vacation cost is all about.... and truly if you were to break that down, they can see for themselves what a huge savings a cruise can offer......

I have always used velcro .....just 4 small squares on each corner, and they stay wonderful and also come off nice .....no marks and no mess... Hope that helps...

travelbutterfly I also Never use last names and Never the City were anyone is from ...but I do use the State, as some come along way to go out of sunny Florida's Ports,and it's nice to walk down a corridor and see a door sign that has the State they are from on it....I also use Head shots sometimes like inside of life rafts or bubbles....I will try and put a pic of our Cabin Door sign this April...it might be very small ,but you can get the idea of it...

It's the one with the Beach Bucket on it and stars that light up on the bottom and it is Blue....not sure how to do this so let me know if it came through ok???

We always do Cabin Door Signs ....and I do sell them on the side(but do not advertise this) as something fun to do in my retirement years....I don't sell them to make money the cost only puts back product into my Card Stock for the backgrounds....Yes go ahead and do a collection of your life together that would be awesome.... and don't forget to snap a picture so we can all see what you have done when it is complete ok?

What Cruise Line are you going on? Carnival always has cabin door signs I thought...that is the only Cruise Line we use.....have tried RC and Holland America and Princess...but we always go back to CCL...........Kathi

Updated spreadsheet for the four of us, if anyone wants to add what they are doing, let me know either here or on FB. It may take a day or so to update if there are a lot but will get it done. Sometimes make the change but don't post that it is made.

 

Can't wait for this cruise, may have to do a short one between now and then depending on time and price.

change of plans......some of our group from the OBX have backed out(thier loss) so no ZIP Line for my guys its " Seavis Saona special " and Bayahibe Beach...sooo when you get a moment can you add that to our spread sheet???? Aruba will be a "City Tour"...4hrs 30 min...and a stop at the beach...$45.00 adult $35.00 children

I guess it's possible...the most sun I ever get is when we cruise. I had dismissed that possibility during the Xmas cruise since we had a couple of crappy weather days and I had gotten very little sun before the infamous rash showed up.

 

I'm going to bring my own soap this summer and see if that helps (and it likely won't be terribly hot in the British Isles!). This is a 12 day cruise so i really don't want to be sporting the rash for the last week - it looks like a bad case of body acne!

Good idea...I get this rash EVERY CRUISE. so I always take Benedryl along and that relived the itch ..this will be our 9th and on the last cruise it didn't happen..but I didn't stay out in the HOT SUN on Sea Day cause I am thinking I might be allergic to the Sun as when you are in the Caribbean you are very close to the equator...so I was told that makes the Sun much Hotter....Now I start out using 60SPF and limit the exposure...I still come home with a beautiful Tropical Glow so it works...and I will do again this April........Hope that helps :cool:

We do Door Signs for all our Cruises and for our friends and other family members who also love to Cruise...I always go to the scrapbook store and do a nice background then I glue gun the State you are comming from ...this Cruise we are going on I have made 4 Cabin Door signs ..One for us Outer Bnks North Carolina,,one from Washington State..one from Oregon State and one from Virginia...this year I had everyone send me a 3x4 picture of them sitting close together with their straw hats on....its sorta beacheeeee..but everyone loves my door signs...hey I am 65 and I can brag...lol

We go on a Cruise every year mostly in the month of April......We live at the Beach in NC Outer Banks...we are so busy after Easter ,then we get a few slack weeks until Memorial Day, then we are slamed busy until Labor Day...so we work very hard for our Vacation.....when other people travel by car and rent cottages here on our beach they spend more for their vacation than we do...with food ,entertainment and Drinks don't forget the nights out on the town...so I always say in answer toooo "How can you afford another Cruise "..and I say we put our deposit down as soon as we can (sometimes on the ship)and pay on it through the season and by January we are all paid up....

we have a few notches taken in on our belts....but....we sure do let them out on the Cruise... we love the ships the crew and all of our fellow cruisers......See y'all at the M&G on the Carnival Dream April 21st 2012
