  1. IslandStar: Do you have any suggestions re: vendors in the Market near Lazy Days Beach? Thinking of going to that Market for spices and chocolate after beaching, but would like to know that we are working with a reputable vendor. Can you also let me know what time that Market is open?

  2. Thinking of combining time at Lazy Days Beach with the Spice Market. I know there is one in town, but seems to make sense to spend some time beaching and then walking around the Spice Market. Is there any vendor that you would recommend? Do they sell chocolate as well as spices there? Anyone know what hours that spice market is open? the one in town?

  3. Buy chocolate. I really loved the dark chocolate bars with nutmeg. My mistake was not buying more. The cost is about double on Amazon. Also buy nutmeg syrup and jam/jelly. They are excellent and hard to come by at home.

Where do you buy the chocolate? Is there anyplace to tour to see how it is made?

  4. We've been on Silvermoon twice and can't imagine anything better! Can you share what is "better" on Calabaza? It sounds like you're a fan of both so a comparison would be helpful. TIA

I have the same question. I'm trying to decide whether to book Calabaza or Silvermoon. Comparisons would be helpful. Also, is one better than the other if you don't drink alcoholic beverages?

  5. Hi. We will be in Martinique in January. From what I can it's like visiting France, and given that we don't speak French, we're trying to decide whether it's best to go to the beach on on our own or to go with the cruise ship. What are the best beaches to go to if you like to swim? snorkel? What's the best way to get there from port? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

  6. We ride a great deal here. We know there are some reputable places in the Caribbean and some places where animals are quite unhealthy and ride is unsafe. The fact that this place is rated 5 stars on Trip Advisor by many people is a positive to me, but I'd love to hear form people who have actually used them.

  7. We are going on a cruise in January and will spend a day at Grenada. I read several threads about getting to Lazy Days beach from the port and am confused. Some talked about water taxis, others land taxis, but someone mentioned that Lazy days is about a 5 minute walk from the dock. If the latter is true, why would a taxi be needed? Could you also tell me whether the sand is nice and clean, and what the swimming conditions are like in the ocean. Last but not least, is it possible to get in a tour as well as spend some time at the beach if you have only one cruise day to spend on the Island? Thank you for your feedback.

  8. Has anyone gone horseback riding recently in St. Kitts? The only stables I saw were Trinity Stables and the only reviews (from 2011) were not positive. I've heard from a tour guide that they changed hands and are much better, but would like to hear experiences from anyone who have used them recently.
