  1. Thanks for your reply. I was confused by your use of two negatives in the same sentence :)

This summer cruise we have booked a verandah for the first time. I don't know whether I will have the time to enjoy it. Maybe I will early morning because I wake up early before others and sit outside on the verandah and watch the sunrise.

I have a 6 year old so I am wondering if it is safe for him to come out on the verandah, my wife is very paranoid about safety :)

  2. Although true, a lot of my replies are tongue in cheek. I appreciate people helping me by sharing their experiences since this is my first disney cruise but I sense that you may just be trouble making and insulting. It's okay if you have a different preference for doing things than I but criticism is uncalled for and childlike...but thanks for your attempt to make my vacation go smoother:)

I am not trouble making and insulting.Just being facetious. I just felt that people here are giving you good sincere advises but you just insisted on having your own viewpoint. So coming here to ask advise was just a front to show off your "elite" status and not actually to seek advise.

You finally saw daylight after a first time poster actually gave her bad experiences. Most of us here don't have to actually suffer bad experiences to know what can happen, unlike you ;)

I thank my lucky stars that my wife is not like you even though we have a four old and we have gone on many long vacations with him since he was 6 months old, by air, sea , rental cars and TOURIST BUSES!!

  3. I think you will be fine, but ultimatley only you can make that choice.

You can take a horse to the water but you cannot make him drink ;)

DCL coach drivers are in direct communication link with the port terminal crew and the ship won't depart if any of the DCL buses are delayed on the way to the port. That is an insurance policy in itself and worth paying for the bus trip.

  4. Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for your input in this process. Our cabin choices are as follows:

    Category 5C Cabin 7058 & 7084 (Verandah)

Category 9B Cabin 2028 (Ocean View)

My husband does not like the idea of a lower deck. I've look at deck plans and all rooms seem okay. Any suggestions/feedback? I searched the forum to see if anyone had sailed in them but didn't find anything. Read a few comments on the disboards.

Your help is appreciated. I will check out the TA's as recommended since I am losing my $25 onboard credit if I process the booking that they are holding which I made over the phone. ridiculous!

We enjoyed our stay on Deck 2 on our very first Disney Cruise.

Easier access from the lobby, just one stairs down.

Easier access to two dining restaurants, Enchanted Garden and Royal Palace on Decks 2 and 3

Minimum ship movement as these cabins are low down and amidship.Good for those with sensitivity to sea sickness.

    Easier boarding and dis-embarkation.

Less dependence on always very busy elevators.
