  1. Last years cruise was with Larry Maconaghey.

He was fairly good. His wife was fun aslo.

We had a good group of regulars at the PB and he delivered for us.

Not the top, but above average. Nothing really dirty

but dysfuctional farm song kinda funny.

(forgot to give a review last year)

This year I am on the Glory leaving on April 6th.

Jordan Hepner is listed as PB player.

Anyone have any first hand info on him (not from his wife)?

Found a Utube video and it looked promising.

  2. Just looking at your signature, you seem to have had some pretty good luck with piano entertainers (excepting the Freedom last year). I see you were on the Inspiration in July 2003. My first cruise on was on the Inspiration, the first week of July 2003. The piano bar entertainer was a Kiwi named Darin MacDonald. He was really good and started my love of Carnival piano bars.

    Just thought I'd share.

    Happy Cruising,

    Laura

I was on that cruise also. Darin was not bad, just that me and friends

did not like the location of the PB. I think they should switch teen nightclub and PB on all "tion" ships. We did win a name that tune trivia

contest and split a cheap bottle of chapagne (I don't know which is

cheaper, the bottle or Ship on a Stick). Maybe we did not give the PB

enough of a chance. The entertainer by the casino had that area jumping really well and we hung there a few times. Me and freinds actually slept a few nights under the stars at the back of the ship on that cruise.

Hopefully our paths will cross again someday.

  3. Was on the Freedom a couple weeks ago with Steven "Sean" Laws at the

piano. When previous posts said he was a little older and slower, they

were being very generous. He is very old (70's) and very slow. I could

only take about 3 songs and didn't come back to stay. Walked through a

couple of other times (in order to get drowsy before bed) and there were

18 people on one night, less on all others. You requested a song by

picking them from lyric sheets he had and then he wanted you to sing the

song also. When previous posts said he was older, I thought maybe about

my age (48), about half of his lyric sheets were even before my time.

I'm not a musician so maybe this happens, at several places during

Margaritaville (my friends request) he would hold one note across the

time that three notes should have been hit (I'm a Parrothead, I know the

song). I hope no PB regulars are on the Freedom the next few months.

I am encouraged by the recent good reviews of PBE's I'm not familiar

with. I hope Carnival discovers more of them and one sails out of

New Orleans this time next year.

  4. Thanks cruisers for the info on Sean on the Freedom.

Not happy to hear he is a little slower.

In reply to other posts: Vince was my favorite also.

Always a fun crowd in the PB. The place was rockin'.

I hope Sean can move in that direction before I sail on 4/21/2012.

Can anyone help with the question marks below?
