#1 Rule make sure all suitcases and bags are collapsible enough to fit under the beds. No hard sided bags allowed. Common sense, but I've seen it get overlooked.
I was thinking we should all take collapsable. But I was assured that a standard size carry on would fit under the bed. Is this not so???

Thanks for all the responses! They are all great! Three of us in the cabin (plus one in another cabin) see each other 3 times a week when we work out at boot camp. We know each other pretty well and 3 of us have travelled together and seem to do OK. The 4th in our room is a long time friend. I think we can work it out.
I'm hoping everyone will bring only a carry on. I have already planned to lay out what I want to take and put 1/2 back. We shall see....
Thanks again!
P.S. We will be heading straight to the bar and commence drinking immediately. This should help immensely I am thinking!

I did an interior with 4 of us on the Enchantment - 2 women and 2 teens. It worked fairly well, we were only in the room to change and sleep. When it was close to dinner time, a set of 1 adult and 1 teen would go back to the room to shower and get ready. The next set would come back to the room in about 45 minutes and then we'd leave. I'm so glad we did that, made things much easier.
Good idea!

I was called to "the naughty room" for having a 3 outlet plug in my checked bag on a TA on the Voyager. It was confiscated and returned to me at the end of the cruise. Might make it through in your carry-on.
Interesting. It seems to be a common thing for people to take.I've even seen pictures on here of them

Alcohol..... and... repeat.
There will be much alcohol....

A small portable generator for all the hairdryers, curling irons, and straighteners.
Ha! Fortunately we are all mature (aka >50) and when you come to a certain age you learn to streamline your prep time! As for me....I have reserved my shower and my outlet at the gym!!

Thanks for the tips....keep 'em coming! I, for one, will not be spending a lot of time in the room so not too worried. I've decided on my shower place. I am hoping our bags fit under the bed. I've already planned on bringing hangers but the magnetic hooks are a great idea! I'm also packing hand soap (hate those little bars), ear plugs and made some lavender "poo-potporri". I also bought the premium drink package so hopefully I will sleep well ;)

no way would I EVER do this unless you have been sharing a bedroom all your lives like all my Sisters in law.
Too late....we leave next week!

The title says it all. We are in a superior balcony. Any tips that may this easier for 5 days? I already heard the one about showering in the gym. Excellent idea. Any more tips???
OK gang....I have to edit this due to the responses I am getting. We sail a week from tomorrow. So there will be no getting 2 rooms or adjoining rooms as it is sold out. We just need some tips on how to survive the week. As I said, gym showers it is for me. I already bought an extra 3 outlet plug. Anything else??

Wow! Pages and pages of "secrets" and lots of detours along the way. I have only been on one cruise before (with hubby). About to go on #2 (with the ladies)....this is what I have taken away form this board:
Make sure to dine in the Windjammer on the aft of the ship
Check in as early as possible
Bring a dry erase marker for leaving notes on mirror for staff and roomies
Bring a surge protector
Bring hand soap
Bring hangers
Make and bring poo-pourri
Sign or magnet for door
Tip steward on arrival (at least according to some)

We are sailing Brilliance on 2/27. We will just miss you. Love your Golden. We have 3

So I've searched and searched over these forums for information regarding the fitness center. I am specifically looking for info on the Brilliance. I've been to the one on the Oasis although it's been a few years. Do they offer a variety of classes (spin, yoga?). Is there an area to do your own thing (like a boot camp style workout)? I take it they have the usual: cross trainers, treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, free weights. Do they have things like jump ropes, bosu, exercise balls, medicine balls?
Cruise Planner Questions

In my limited experience with cruise planner....I find it to be cumbersome and user unfriendly. And if you are traveling with a group and one of your group is on it, no one else from the group can be on it at the same time. But maybe, in your case, it's just too early
