I would make a reservation now that allows cancelling and that you can live with if need be.  Hopefully ValueTrips will publish there rates sooner rather than later.

We finally did this just because it seemed like rates just kept climbing each week. But still hoping for Valuetrips

  2. We Did the Rhino Riders excursion in St. Maarten. To date it is my favorite excursion we have gone on. You ride the coast line on what can only be described as a combination boat jet ski. You tie all your boats together at a secluded beach swim in to shore and play on the beach are in the waves. You are on the French side so be aware there may be some "European" sunbathing. We tied up and noticed a couple doing yoga on the beach at the far end and thought what a great idea. As we swam in we noticed they were doing Naked Yoga on the beach. Gave Down Dog a whole new meaning.

  3. I did not participate in the classes, but did notice the sign up sheets filled up fast. So, I would recommend you go straight to the fitness center when they open on boarding day to sign up for classes.

I must say that I was disappointed in the fitness center. It took 3 tries to find a bike that worked. One had a broken screen, so it would not advance for you to input your excercise. Another had a broken seat. The third one finally worked. It seemed like they had much fewer machines than on Freedom. I gave up on the fitness center, and enjoyed walking the track instead.

Thank You for the heads up we usually head there to sign up first thing. Was there a separate studio or was it in the middle of the gym in an open area? My wife and I like to run our own mini "classes" with the two of us. One cruise it had a separate studio so we had on issues, another was in the middle of the Gym and the trainers seemed to be annoyed at what we were doing. But did notice one had "borrowed" some or our combo moved the next day in his Bootcamp. :)

  4. Sure! Here they are.

Everything is in that PDF for the week.

Everything is great with my mom and I. She had a lot of fun meeting everyone and she keeps saying what a nice group our Roll Call was. I'm glad we all had a nice time. [emoji4]

Thank You For reposting these, we sail Dec 11th already counting down. Has anyone done any of the fitness classes on Allure? Specifically the TRX?

  5. Thanks to all who are following along! I loved the Norway she was so grand and had so much history. I was very saddened when they scrapped her, it just didn't seem right. They did save her bow though. I digress.

    Day 4 Falmouth Jamaica

We woke up about 9 and as usual had room service for breakfast. We had booked an excursion through RC for the Rose Hall Hilton. We went to the Amber Theatre about 10 to meet up with our group. We were the first group called and headed off the ship. It is a long walk from the pier to where we met up with the tour guide. It was a little confusing as other groups were there for other tours with the same company but they separated us into lines. We got our bracelets and headed to the air conditioned bus. Our driver was great and the tour guide gave us the history of Jamaica while we rode a half hour to our destination. The excursion included the bus ride, four hours at the hotel, drinks, towels and food. There is a pool, lazy river, beach and bathrooms. Our guide gave us a tour of the property. My BFF got us a cabana on the beach for $60! It included two loungers two chairs a table, water and an attendant. She brought s our drinks every 20 minutes and took our food order and delivered It right to the cabana! The water was shallow but very refreshing and the wind was blowing all day keeping us cool. We got back about 4:30, did some shopping and headed back to the ship.

We did MTD that night and had an excellent server named Krista, if you can ask for her she was excellent. We didn't have to wait at all (loved being in a suite). We all had filet that night and my BFF had lobster too. We went to the casino again, blew off the headliner show and headed to bed. All that sun and drinking makes you tired. We were up and down in the casino, but more on that later!:)

Do you have pictures of the cabana? Do you book it at the property?

  6. Ok. Back!

Getting a car because it's just easier - we have a Cuban food tradition in FLL ... and one of our party is flying out on Saturday afternoon - we will probably eat, drop her off then check in to our hotel...

It seems that the rates jump UP in December! Many of the small, family owned resorts are already sold out - so is the 17th St. Embassy Suites (checked that before we decided to stay close to the beach), Hyatt Pier 66 and Marriott. I have a (cancelable) reservation at the Westin. AAA w/free parking $227. I will keep looking for a better rate/location.

    Thank you for your input!

I would stay with the Westin we stayed 2 nights pre cruise last June and Loved it so much we are staying 2 nights post cruise the 14th and 15th of December. Landed 150.00 a night on Orbitz for those 2 nights but saw it bounce any where between 150.00 and 250.00 a night while I was watching it.

Great restauarants and Beach in walking distance along the "strip"

  7. There is a yoga studio space (where the entertainment staff were doing a boot camp type workout each morning), but I don't know if there would be any place to hang equipment. I wonder if they would allow you to do that, even if there were.

Thank You for the info on the Yoga studio that would work well. I have an e-mail out for the suspention trainers but hadn't heard back yet.

  8. Bottles water is offered at every bar and specialty coffee besides Starbucks is included as well. For us we felt we weren't able to get as much use out of the machines as we have on other ships. You could load up a Starbucks card at home and bring it with you because they do take giftcards!

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

What were the average prices at Starbucks on the ship? Need to know how much to load the Starbucks card up with. :)
