Here if you want to get out of it, you have to go in front of the judge and present your case. It is really like being on trial. I can tell you in my county hardly anything gets you out of it. One judge said he didn't care if you had to work, owned your own business, how scheduled surgery, had an infant etc...

Anyone? And does anyone know which river or cave system this is at?

Anyone done this. Not much into the shopping part, but I am interested in the river. I cant do the secret river tour due to weight limits.

Rdh rules, If you have alittle time , Drive just a tinsey ways down Bay street and yall be in downtown Charleston, there should be paid parking spots around the market. Drive to the end of Bay Street, the parking around the park area is free. You can walk and see some of the great homes from there.

Thanks Bobsfamily. So basically whether we are self assist or put our luggage out, we will load it on to shuttle trailers and take the shuttle back to the parking warehouse. We usually self assist, since we always have to drive so far but being only 2-3 hours from Charleston. I might actually get to eat breakfast first.

I love the "silent" disembarkation. Although I get #1 tags, I'm usually not in THAT much of a hurry to leave! It goes very smoothly.
Given the limitations at the port, I think they do a great job with both embarkation and disembarkation.
What I don't care for, when taking a shuttle or taxi, is the rather long walk from the terminal down to the street. Now THAT feels like a long walk! :p
I thought my arm was going to drop off when I was about 2/3 of the way down, and I was following a couple of women who were barely moving. I finally had to ask that they keep right so I could pass or I just wasn't going to make!
Since they shuttle us from that area TO the terminal (usually with "just" a carryon), it would be sort of nice if they would also shuttle us back. But then they'd have to have various shuttles with luggage trailers - some heading to the parking and some going only to the street, and that probably would just be too much confusion.
Tell me more about this. I understand they shuttle you to the port. But when you disembark where is your luggage and are you saying we have to carry all our luggage and walk to the parking garage? If we self disembark I assume you'd have all your luggage, but do they have a shuttle back to the parking area? I have elderly folks going with us.

We've always gone. I want to be prepared. About year ago I was in Atlanta on the 19th floor at a buyers market and the fire alarms went off. I proceded to walk down the stairs, quickly. About the 7th floor the alarms stopped and we were told we didnt have to leave. On all those floors people ignored the alarms and continue to shop. 100s of people. I just didnt get it.

They should have been escorted off the ship.

I would be asking for the difference in the spa room price and the price of the pass with maybe just a few bucks for room location. But you probably wont get anywhere.
