Good Morning....Can I do a single up grade from an oceanview room or do you have to start at an inside and go from there? I currently have about 22,000 points and not sure if we will make it up to 60,000 points by next april, for the double meta. We are going to do the 11day hawaii cruise on the jewel!! :) We Just got back from Bermuda....Beautiful!!  And what category do I need to book? Thanks Lisa

I called a PCC at Norwegian to book the cruise initially, and then that person transferred me to the World Points rep who handled the double meta upgrade. It was all in one call.

 

Have you called World Points at 1-866-954-4077? That's the only number I have.

Hello...called that Number and we got upgraded to a balcony from inside. Saved us just about 3300.00!!! Whoo hoo. Going to Alaska July 7th! Now to get those points back up for a Hawaii cruise in a couple years :)

Hello All..... I have this card and I Have around 46,000 points. We are going on the Bliss in July. :) I booked an inside hoping to up grade to balcony with points. Question is....does this need to be done by final payment or can do after? Once I pay for the cruise....final payment is in April....I will have enough points. Also I booked with a TA, would that be a prob or can she do it or do I need a call them. Thanks Lisa

I am not familiar with such an excursion from Harvest Caye. There is a Doctor Dive in Costa Maya, is that perhaps the one you are referring to?

Hello, Not sure where to post this...But cruising on the Getaway Nov 26th and my brother wants to go Scuba driving and found The Dive Doctor excursion when we are docked in Harvest Caye, Belize. Just wondered if anyone has done this and how was it? Back to the boat in plenty of time? Says ours would start at 9. My brother already reserved the tickets. There will be just 4 of us, My brother, Nephew, my son and me... the others do not want to do it.

Whatever you think about the reasons for the celebrations can't you just join them? You may not be able to do the things you planned but who knows, maybe you will get memories for life?

We were in Jamaica during their independence day holiday, and it was fantastic. We saw so many festivals and parties that day. A lot of the tourist places were open (tours, and ship excursions) but stores and a lot of businesses were closed.

 

We had a great day and had a wonderful look at island culture up close. So much music and different types of events. Parades, beach festivals, etc.

 

Just think how cool it is for tourists to be here July 4th. You might be surprised by the extra opportunities you will have by being on that cruse.

We can still do excursions! Great! I was just wondering if we could. Thanks!

Since 1959, Cuba has celebrated July 26th as a public holiday and in 1976, the government added July 25 and 27th to the celebration. On all three days, offices, schools and businesses are closed. Rallies and speeches are held throughout Cuba to celebrate what one popular Cuban song calls “the happiest day in history.” The flag of the revolution, which is red and black with a 26 in the centre, is prominently displayed. Military members wear armbands that represent the flag.

Hello Has anyone hear of this????? These will be the days we will be docked there. Are business really going to be closed? No Rum Factory....No Cigar Tours....Shopping.... What will we be able to do? Do we even get off the boat. Anyone else wondering.....

you will find the information regarding the visas. Click the link on that page for the affidavit. They have made it an online fillable form that you submit with an electronic signature. They say to print out the filled in version and keep for your records. If you want to sign and scan the hard copies you can email the scan to NCLVisa@ncl.com (case sensitive). I think CTCruiser may have posted a different email address. This is the one we sent to and got a response

 

Also don't forget to keep a journal while you are in Cuba. It is required and you have to keep it in your records for 5 years.

There is an app called doc scan. With it you can take picture and it changes them to PDF so you can email it. You can also fill it out right on Ncl.com and submit it through a secure document. But booking with a TA I am not sure if you can do the direct link.

Thank you for posting all of this! I'm paranoid & printed the certification (both the submitted edoc & the old one where you had to sign it and fax it). I always make sure I have everything printed. 99% of the time I don't need it but that 1% makes it worth while.

Hello! question for you....ok my TA emailed the affidavit to me and there are 5 of us girls going so printed out 5. i am stumped on how to get them back to NCL. TA said to email them back....How? ( i know silly) take a pic of them then email that??? but i see you said you faxed them back? my mother in law has a fax machine. can you give me that #....sounds easier. and you got a confimation back? thanks in advance :)

just asking.... our cruise got changed to cuba. we sail july 24th. do you still have to buy the visa if you do not want to get off the ship? a group of 5 girlfriends are going and 2 of the girls said they do not want to go to cuba and want to stay on the boat. thanks

Yes that is the biggest reward available. You cannot go higher than a balcony and afts are excluded.

 

Pay the cruise off earlier, get your double or triple points on that charge then redeem. I never carry a balance so paying early does not cost me anything really. Oh yeah, the .005 my checking earns.:p:D

Another question...we are thinking about booking a alaska cruise july 2018. when i book do we have to have the 60,000 points then or just use a cruise next to hold book a inside then when we have to pay in full use points to upgrade to balcony? or do they need to know using points when I book?

Hello....just found this thread great info...just got the card in 2015. I have 11,000 points. i have a owners suite booked on the sky in july and balcony on the getaway in nov. is the only upgrade you can do with 60,000 points is from inside to balcony? or can i go higher form balcony? i am going to but both of these on my card. i might be pretty close by time nov rolls around.

question....i have the owners suite booked for july 24th. i looked at the cuba sailings and just priced a owners suite and it is about 2000.00 more. so if my sailing changes to cuba am i going to have to pay more??????

I booked a 4 day for july 24th 2017....man i hope they do not change it to Cuba. sorry i dont see why everyone is excited about cuba? and for the paperwork you need is there a fee for it?? cant just use your passport?

I was just on Sky....I thought the ship was very clean and well maintained for a ship of her age.

We were very fortunate to be in an Owner's Suite and took a few pictures - I'll try to post.

I would love to see your pics and any comments you have. will be in the owners suite in july! :)
