  1. you can exit & lock from the patio,,theres a switch hidden behind the curtain that locks the patio door auto..

Just as a point of clarification, yes, you can exit your room through the patio door to go to the pool area, but you can’t lock it behind you. If you want your room locked while you are in the pool area, you have to exit the room out the regular cabin door, go down the hallway, and then walk through the Havana bar.

We are currently in 5239 on the Horizon which is the last room at the end of the hallway, but the first one near the pool. Not being able to lock the patio door from the outside is a pain, and while I don’t care on this cruise because we are not using the pool (we were upsold from an interior to the cabana for a small amount), I would not bother to book a cabana for a Caribbean cruise.

  2. we got a convertible just by walking across the street from the pier. Plenty of them waiting in line, if you walk away, they really start making deals. We ended up 4hrs for $20. Went to Havana bar (Hemingway) and some place for giant lobster tails for I think it was $6 a plate. They love the "Americans" tipped him well, it was worth it.

  3. The earliest check in time for our Vista cruise in July is 11:00 am. So if you can get that time slot, you'll only have to hang out for 30 minutes or so outside.

hope I can get an 11:00, FTTF is already sold out 8 months ahead of time, I still check it everyday. Called Carnival, and they cant (wont) tell me when they will start taking check in times, nor odds of them opening up more FTTF.

    Thanks

  4. Hard to say exactly, it can vary from sailing to sailing. Depends also on your boarding priority and how many priority guests are going on before they call your time/zone to board. You shouldn't be waiting all that long if your bus arrives at 10:30am though.

Last year we waited 2 hrs in the sun, outside.

  5. Our age says this might be our last cruise, so I would like to put on the ritz for my wife.

We always stay in balconies, but I would like to splurge and get a suite for our next cruise.

What is the difference between a Junior suite and and Ocean suite on the Carnival Miracle?

Are the perks different. If this is a dumb question, don't flame me,, just by pass it please.

  6. Where is a good restaurant in Cozumel not to far from the dock?

Ponchos restaurant is our favorite. Its to the left of the pier shops if you're at the pier where you have to walk thru the stores. If you see the 3 Amigos, look to the left side of the shops and it will be there,,, good food & healthy margaritas...

  7. I just booked with Princess and a free drink package was included, I took the 300.00 OBC because we do not drink. The room I booked is the same price we have with Carnival for our next cruise.

Might just go ahead and book the Regal Princess if they give away the drinks. I love that ship.

    Thanks

    Mike
