  1. Hi Paul! Thank you so much for your very nice comment. It warmed my heart :) What a great present for your mother's "paraversary"! My tenth was in early May, so we raised our glasses to those ten years one evening during the cruise.

Tell your mother to check the bible in her cabin. Who knows, maybe our unused vouchers will still be in it.

Aaaw, your mother sounds great :) It's good that she taught you all those thick carpet curse words. One can never know enough, especially on those large ships with hallways that go on forever.

No the thanks all go to you for your amazing review!

Going against the grain doesn't always work and shoulders don't get any better as time goes on sadly. So we would find the easiest route possible mainly upper decks/tile'd and work our way down to where we were going with the elevators as Dear mother refused to be pushed .......got to love her.......I will def. pass it on to look when she get's to the room for the vouchers :) well instead of filling up your amazing review is there any way possible to reach you outside of this?

  2. Bonjour Laurie!

Thank you for posting this magnifique review  Originally from Ontario and family is bilingual! My mother has been a para from the age of 16 and we have planned a Baltic cruise on the Silhouette for her 50th anniversary of her accident. She is staying in 7139 and we are staying in 7137 so I am happy to hear about the room and your experience with the ship. You are VERY much how I saw my mom being at your age and have a similar joie de vivre outlook! Again thank you so much for showing that being disabled doesn't mean you can't live a happy life just things are done different then able body people........You are an inspiration!!!!

P.S: learned alot of curse words when I was younger from the carpets in the hallways on cruise ships hahaha

    All the best, Paul

  3. Yeah she's OK with not having the spa room......lol I will have to make it up to her somehow ;), thank you for the help/assistance and encouragement everyone! We both are going into this cruise with an open mind as every cruise company has their perks and qwerks , so we feel blessed just to go on a cruise that's how life should be . It appears to me that Carnival will be the best bang for the buck cruise compared to our other cruises its two for one price comparison with the discounts and obc is just an added bonus:-)

  4. I am very excited to go on Carnival Glory Jan19/14 7 night west.Caribbean out of Miami.

This will be my first and my fiance's first with carnival , I am doing research by looking through older posts but there is some info on staterooms but not a lot ,deck 7 seems to be a good deck to be on but I'm asking for some assistance from established carnival cruisers :-)

I am considering in surprising her with a cloud 9 spa oceanview or balcony ,originally we were planning on just going with an OV but trying to stay away from major public areas as well! Any other input on top of the stateroom info on the glory would be greatly appreciated thank you .

  5. I have been following this Ubp and I have one question any help would be greatly appreciated !

My mother is in a different room single occupant and we are in our own room as well she paid for the trip as a Christmas present . I plan to put mine and the gfs room on my credit card and my mom plans to put her room on hers. Now if my mom wanted to get the UBP for just herself could she or are we forced to all get it even though its under separate cards? Thank you in advance.
