  1. We will be sailing August 2018 on the AOS to Bahamas. Hopefully by then the AOS will have a suite lounge and perhaps a costal kitchen. I would like to know if the special pool seating for suite guests has shade as we will be sailing in August and do not enjoy sitting in the sun.

I would "assume" that Grandsuites and above have priority seating in the theatre. Is this true?

    Thanks

We absolutely love the grand or owners suite on the AOS! The special gold card section at the pool is fantastic but don't count on shade for most of the day. No getting up early to grab a spot. Priority seating at all shows, just make sure you are there 15 mins before or they will give away your seats. Enjoy!

  2. Muster drill started really late last year on our Liberty cruise. A bunch of women arrived to our section and then stood and talked through it all. They should put the rude late comers (as I realise there is sometimes genuine reasons why people arrive late) should go on a black list and not allowed onto the lifeboats until last...though I bet they are the kind of people that will be elbowing their way through the queues to get to the front!!!

    I like that one!

  3. We were just on the NOS last month and stayed in an GS. It was great that anytime of the day we had a lounge chair!! People would "sneak" but every 30 mins or so, a pool attendant would walk by and ask to see their gold cards. It's the one benefit I really like.

Next cruise we have booked a balcony. It's going to be hard not having those extra amenities. :):):)

  4. Now this brought up a question for me! I am doing my first B2B on Oasis this May, and when I did the online check-in for the second cruise, there was on option under "pre cruise arrival plans" or whatever that was "consecutive cruiser". Would this be the same as having to call and "link" them? I would certainly hope that that was all the notification they would need, I hate sitting on hold when it is something I can do online!

    Thanks! :-)

You have to call RCI to have your two cruises linked together as a B2B. If not, the crew does not know and will assume that you are ending your cruise. I found this out when I called to take advantage of a price drop. Glad the person did this for me!

  5. Hoping some of you Navigator experts can help me. Does staying in a Junior Suite allow priority tendering? My NOS cruise doesn't get into Grand Cayman until 10:30. I am trying to figure out if I can make an 11:30 scuba dive at a shop about 1/2 mile from cruise terminal.

Since I am in a JS and am wondering if I will get priority tendering. I know RCI web site says GS and above only get priority tender tickets. It also states that only GS and above have priority boarding which I know is not true because other JS's I stayed in I was put the priority boarding area (not expected but was nice). Thank you in advance for your help.

Just GS and above get priority tending. Sorry

  6. All of this information is SO helpful, thank you - and keep it coming! Even information that seems to be the obvious (?) and of little information is still a big help! THANK YOU!

One thing I am concerned about is that if we don't do a ship excursion and we opt for public transportation I worry that we wouldn't make it back to the port on time (not due to our lack of timeliness, but something unforeseen with transportation). Is that likely? Or am I just being over-cautious?

Our first time to these ports, we used RCI shore excursions. It is worth the extra few dollars...peace of mind. Florence is 1.5 hours away from the port. There were people on our ship that got left behind because their private excursion's bus broke down. Why worry and stress out while you are on vacation?? Enjoy!
