  1. Forgot to mention the price of the tour was $100.00 per person and included all transportation, including the taxi ride to/from the port, unlimited drinks (alcoholic or otherwise), lunch and snorkel gear.

We left the ship and headed out to the specified taxi location to meet our taxi transport. Here is where the taxi called Elegance and they gladly accepted us for a total of 9 people, as very comfortable number and under the catamaran maximum occupant limitation.

The taxi left the port area and we took a ride over to the Hilton to pick up another couple (which was not too inconvenient because we got to see some of the island and Carlyle bay (which is where Bob's family went for the day and liked it). (Feel free to comment on that, dancer19) BTW, that was our Plan B if Elegance couldn't accommodate us.

We booked with Glory tours in Barbados which was a shuttle service to the beach and included beach chairs, umbrella and a free rum punch for 25$ pp. The beach was called Browns Beach, beautiful water it was clear and sandy. We would definetly go back there in a heart beat. But I would suggest just taking a taxi as we were very disappointed in the tour company.

  2. I appreciate your post and question. I just checked my notes and thought I'd logged the exact amount of time but I didn't. If memory serves me right, it was at least an hour and more like 90 minutes. Bernards Tours is top notch and I think others will agree you won't be disappointed.

Dancer19...you out there still? Do you recall how much time we had at Orient beach. I'm sure it was at least an hour and a half.

Yeah it was an hour and a half ! Maybe a little more with the nude beach stop :p

  3. See title above. A little shopping here and an opportunity to get yummy bakery goods and maybe soak up a little rum punch or beer. We chose the ham and cheese croissant sandwich (price not included in the tour). (Please help me here, dancer19, as I don't recall the price of the tour and forgot to the mention that earlier)

The Price of tour number 2 with Bernard's tours is 45$ with a 5$ deposit each

  4. We've been to St. Maarten several times but never booked an island tour. So after much research, I chose Bernard Tours and very happy I did. I was afraid it would be too "sedate" and a little boring, but it was really a lot of fun. We had a really great group of about 10 folks and one couple and their two daughters we would strike a friendship that I'm sure will be long lasting well after this cruise.

Our tour guides name was John and he was informative and very funny from the very beginning. The van was very comfortable and air conditioned and John wore a headset with speaker so he was well heard throughout the van.

And bartender Bob kept the "Run Runch" flowing :D LOL
