  1. I agree with mein18. We had two, of the proctored tests, leftover from a recent cruise. We saved them to use for after we returned home. We waited 3 to 5 days, after returning home, to allow enough time for a more accurate result. We just skipped the video call and used them for our own information. They work exactly like the OTC kits.

  2. My wife and I both took the test at the same time, at our kitchen island, and on two different laptops. The process was very simple and went okay. The only major issue we had was my wife's laptop camera had an issue with reading the QR code to confirm the test. After about five minutes of moving the card around and changing the room lighting, the camera finally found the QR code. We staggered are times a little so that she was talking to the proctor while I was waiting the 15 minutes. In addition to the phone app, we took printed copies of our results. If I remember correctly, the app was sufficient. We are cruising again next week. We are taking both printed copies and the app on our phones.

The only report of that I seem to recall was on Symphony 2 weeks ago and they kinda had to when the ship was turned away from a port. I don't recall anyone reporting official Captain's announcement on any other ship before that.

We were on Symphony in October. The Captain made an official announcement the last night or maybe the morning of debarkation. We were only at 30% capacity and the number was zero cases among crew and passengers. I think they need to go back to reduced capacity.

  4. Some folks walk on the outside promenade on deck 4. This does have stairs at the forward end that you would have to use if you don't want to turn around and go the other way.

Just off of FOTS a couple of weeks ago. The track on Deck 12 is continuous but difficult to use after about 8:00AM. I used Deck 4 for walking. On Deck 4 outside, you can walk completely around the ship. There are a couple of flights of stairs to access the helipad but these can be bypassed by simply cutting through the ship just before the stairs. Saw a few people jogging on deck 4. If you need alone time, Deck 4 is also a great place to go to get away from crowds during sea days. I don't understand why more people don't take advantage of this area. Maybe they don't realize that it's there. Fantastic views of the ocean from all around the ship. Took the following pictures on a completely booked spring break cruise. You wouldn't know that by looking at these pictures.
