  1. Have to say it...SMALL WORLD ISN’T IT? I am assuming the “tnc” is for Town & Country? Smaller world...we’re neighbors lol. Well, close by. Too funny. Good to hear you’re returning to PCL after a try. We’ve only sailed NCL for past 10 years and needed a change after our last cruise was exactly like the previous 2-3. We know there are many better “deals” with local tour companies on this tour but we liked doing our excursions through NCL so we’re going to see how how Princess’ excursions are in comparisons and have booked one in every port. We have to meet up for a drink before we board, Scott’s a lot of fun...me, I take some getting use to lol.

  2. Greetings Frank and Ken! We live in NYC and this is our first cruise out of Venice so we are very excited to visit that port. We will arrive 2 days before and are staying a day later as to not deal with getting to a flight right after departing (we've almost missed 2!) you will love a transatlantic on the Epic! We've done it twice from London. Have you been on the Epic? Very interesting ship for sure. We always attend the FOD gatherings and we really like the Jade as it was our first ship we sailed on (you always remember your first!) so hopefully we'll see you there. Thanks for responding, I have a feeling it will be a good group taking this trip. Have a good summer! Chuck

  3. For a first shot at getting this put together it turned out to be a very nice gathering and Scott and I wanted to thank all that attended for making us feel welcome. We still would like to host a future event as we find a "home" atmosphere to be easier to have conversations. (Uncle Charlie's was surprisingly loud IMO) special shout out to Peter for the name tags!

  4. Sorry! :p

I'm leaving in less than 3 weeks aboard NCL Epic for a Western Mediterranean cruise - can't wait!

Taking the same cruise but sadly 1 month after you Atilla. I can't wait to hear all about your trip and what to do/not do. Are you staying pre or post cruise in Barcelona? We are going a couple days early to enjoy the city for the first time. Have done Rome before but not any of the other ports on this itinerary and VERY excited to explore the Naples, Florence & Monte Carlo areas!

  5. We're regular theater goers, on average 2 a month. For newer shows, we've seen Evita (very good), Jesus Christ Superstar (very good), Ghost (surprisingly good), End of the Rainbow (Tony winning performance I hope), and seeing Newsies next month just because it's probably going to win best musical. For other shows we've seen in the past year and highly recommend...Priscilla, Sister Act, Book of Mormon (good luck getting tickets!) Anything Goes, How to Succeed..... Hope this helps!

  6. REALLY feel bad about this, but after some discussion, Scott & I think it might be better to have a first "meeting" at a neutral place as it looks like it might end up being smaller gatherings over the next few months before we all can get together. We still would LOVE to host a future "party" as we love to entertain and look forward to hearing/chatting about our experiences with others. Someone just say when and we're there! Once again, sorry for reneging on our offer to host the first get-together.

  7. Love the idea of meeting others and sharing experiences! We would actually like to extend the use of our apartment for such a gathering if need be. The idea of doing it at a bar would make it harder to have conversations and could end up being more "smaller groupings". We live at 28th & 2nd, so hoping that is not too difficult for most of you. You may wonder why we would offer this to complete strangers? Our answer....why not! You're only a stranger until you say hello or shake a hand. Just need to know by a show of hands (or emails) how many would seriously consider this then we can zero in on a date/time. Saturday's (anytime from a late afternoon to evening) would be preferred but could do Friday after 6:00. Hope to get some interest in this, if not...we'll belly up to the bar with the rest of ya soon!

  8. My partner and I live in the city on the east side, fairly new to cruising (on a boat that is) and are leaving on our 4th this weekend on the NCL Jewel. Last year did the Gem to Bermuda out of NYC and it was awesome to be in our front door only 25 minutes from the time we left our cabin on return. Downside is that when you leave in the colder months you have a few days of "decent" weather cut off. Will definitely be doing the transatlantic inaugural cruise of the Breakaway next year as well. Glad I found this site!
